Lucky Dog

It's a dive bar. Went quite a lot a while ago. But you really get the sense that no one cares and that you're unwelcome, especially if your not a frequent goer. I get a very hostile vibe, which for a dive bar I suppose is a bit expected. Hit or miss, but after one incident in the fall with rude staff, I haven't been back.

I talked to a guy named bubba, who told me after his horrible abusive father went to prison the local orphanage was filled and he had to stay at the lucky dog homeless shelter. He said the lucky dog shelter was the only thing he could count on in life. Bubba wouldnt lie, he was honest he told me everything about his life, his mother ,brother and father, me and this guy made a real connection. I really felt his pain and he mine, he will be upset next time I talk to him. Staff wouldnt even consider taken me in, I have no job, no money and Ive been clean for 6 week's. Don't go to this shelter!

Great townie joint with cheap beer, and dive bar traditions (popcorn, darts, etc). Awesome place to watch a game with a crowd of friendly locals. The owner keeps an eye out for interesting seasonal beers, like Lagunitas' Born Yesterday, and manages to keep the prices super reasonable. Worth the couple blocks trek from downtown.

Okay by far one of the most bizarre bars I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The majority of the crowd consists of young Beverly residents whom I've never seen outside of the bar...i mean never. I suppose one could call them hipsters I'm not really sure what the term is they dress funky have great personalities and I believe May attend Montserrat School of Art. There are a few random people in there that I believe have been there since it was Barney's 35 years ago. The bartenders are seemingly average Everyday people. The place is always busy the popcorn is delicious. The strangest part of the whole atmosphere is the music it just doesn't match the crowd stereotypically speaking but anyone that comes in there would find it off that a bunch of 21 year olds listen to Frank Sinatra and Neil diamond and enjoy it immensely as if dancing around and having a good time it's just strikes me as odd that's all but it's a great place the drinks are decent for a tiny bar they usually have three bartenders and a couple of bouncers so you definitely to eat and you definitely get a drink with timely fashion thing I find on but it is what it is.
