Stateside Bakery

This is Cupkates's store front, which is easier to visit with longer hours than the food trucks (which unfortunately don't seem to come to San Francisco anymore). Yes, these cupcakes are expensive, but the buttercream is so good, soft, and not too sweet (as compared to supermarket cupcakes that have stiff frosting). Her cakes are nicely moist too, with the exception of red velvet for some reason. Salted caramel and double vanilla are my favorites. They even have a gluten free cupcake in snickerdoodles flavor. Not the same texture, but still an excellent cake. Very talented baking here! Lastly, we had 150 cupcakes catered for our wedding 4 years ago, so we've been revisiting and eating cupcakes to celebrate our anniversaries. The quality has remained at the same high level. The consistency is amazing, in both scale and over the years.

Quality artisan snacks from childhood, this bakery nails the ooey-gooey goodness without the preservatives and chemicals. One star deducted because of the prices are understandably high but you get what you pay for. I had the nutella-filled cookie and it was one of the best cookies I have had this year (and I've had a lot). High recommendation, especially if you are up for trying a new kind of bakery.
