Pop's Bbq

I don’t know what’s going on with the ownership @ Pops BBQ , however, last visit they left out several of my sides and on Mother’s Day they closed at 2:00 ( which is perfectly understandable) but I started calling at 1:06 to place an order and apparently they just took the phone off the hook. I went ahead a drove there knowing my orders Always take around 15 min to prepare , got there at 1:28 and they had customers all inside but had already locked the doors. They have great fish dinners but I am not going to give my money to a place that doesn’t honor their customers…..

This place has decent food. The price is cheap. The chicken and dumplings soup was good. Ribs were all you can eat were good. The jumbo fried shrimp was ok. The sauce was ok. Unfortunately the food I wanted to order wasnt available when I went. I wanted the Ribeye steak. They only serve that on Saturday. This is a place I would try again if I happened to be in the area again.

we went to the cozy table at 6:30, was told the kitchen closed at 6:30 (7p.m. close) so we left and drove by pop's. we stopped in and they were a bit busy. service was fast, friendly and our food was out quickly. i had a dbl hamburger and expected an 8 to 1 patty but they were more like a 1/4 lb.....may not quite, had corn nuggets and fries. this is about the only place that actually gave me enough onion when i asked for extra. it was very good and had a good price. our service was good and friendly. i will return.
