Spice Route

Visited this restaurant for lunch buffet today(Monday). There were a lot of vegetarian options and 4 meat options with “chicken biriyani “! The lamb curry and chicken curry was good but not at all spicy, butter chicken was good. Biriyani was horrible. It was like Bell pepper curry rice and not like Biriyani 😐 a total let down!!!! Please don’t spoil the legacy of Biriyani like this 😑!!! Masala dosa was fresh, hot and crispy. Naan was good. Rasam was yummy 😋. It will be good if you can provide more options in nonveg! Good for $14 👍🏽

Food quality is not bad, however, the service and the overall attitude of the staff is quite pathetic. Had been to Spice Route about 2 years back when we were happy with the overall experience. Father's day 2019 experience was quite the opposite. Food was cold, everytime we told a staff, that person would say let me check and never showed back again. We had to move our own used plates from our table as no one would show up to pick them. This place has deteriorated significantly over the years.

As a vegetarian family, we love this restaurant. All the items we enjoy eating here without any hesitation. This has been around 10 years we are coming here. By any chance we happened to eat some other Indian restaurant, either I get severe headache or stomach pain. Never happened with spice route food. Very happy to visit any time. Very humble waiters. Their all-you-can-eat buffet is delicious! Every time I dine here I'm impressed with the two full-length rows of food options. Lots of vegetarian, vegan options as well as meat dishes. Delicious flavors. It's Southern Indian so if you want more mild flavors go on the weekdays and the weekends tend to run more spicy! My hungry teenagers beg to come frequently.
