Whataburger

This location isn't my favorite. The fries are not fresh, and the food is not as fresh as other locations I frequent. Drive further down i-10 & guaranteed you'll get hot, fresh fries and flavorful burgers. The employees at this location do work hard and are very pleasant. I just wish the food was hot & fresh. Especially with prices going up, quality needs to be improved. The drive-thru is a hit or miss, but tonight, the line was not long, and moved along fast.

When we walked in, Kalei was at the counter. She greeted EVERY customer with a Hello abs what can I get you. It was a steady stream of people. After i gave my order I stepped aside to wait. As i waited, I looked around and was amazed at how clean the restaurant was. The drinks area was spotless! The trash area was spotless! The floors, restrooms, tables, counter, etc was spotless. Also,I was approached several times by employees asking if I had been served. If my burger had been hot, I would have given 5 stars across the board.

Normally we stop in Baytown to eat Breakfast enroute to Louisianna. Because of construction at our turnoff, we drove to another exit where there were restaurants. Whataburger on Hwy 146 was in the cluster of places where one could eat. It is located in an attractive modern building. Interior was beautifully designed with a nice layout to order, pickup and dine. The place was clean. The one person at counter was efficient & seemed to be doing work of three. Since we were not familiar with their menu & didn't know what we wanted, she directed me to look at the menu board while she took care of other business. I ordered two coffees and Items #20 # #24.from menu board. Service was quick. Since we were there in the mid morning expected condiments and soap in men's bathroom to be stocked. Low on jellies and two dispensers were out of soap.
