Used Alan's Fish Bar for the first time this afternoon and was not disappointed. The fish was so white, the batter was very tasty and the chips were good too! Would definitely recommend and go to again, especially as it is so close to where I live.

I flew all the way from Albuquerque New Mexico USA for the best chippy in Essex. This place is home. The Haddock was hot and fresh with light and crispy batter...OMG I will be back before I leave.

Finally!!!! A chip shop in Laindon that makes decent chips. I am very fussy about my chips as they are usually all I want from a chip shop. Been here 3 times now and theirs are perfect for me 👍

Kebabs are amazing. I don’t like chip shop chips so I can’t eat the chips from this place but that’s me and nothing wrong with the company. I always order a kebab which I think is amazing and can’t seem to find anything like this places around here, I think is amazing that it even comes with rice so I dont need chips so it’s a win for me! Always taste brilliant. I get gutted though when they have sold out but I’m not surprised due to how good the mixed kebabs are. Highly recommended for the kebabs as I can’t say about any other food they do as i haven’t had eaten it

The price was very reasonable and service in the takeaway was quick and the staff were all very helpful and polite. The fish here was soo delicious and the chips were amazing too. People recommended this place to me for ages and I would definitely recommend it to all my friends and family. Cash only, which is fine once you know.

We know all to well how important it is to hear peoples reviews, positive or constructive and honestly I cannot fault Alan's Fish Bar! Ordered from there last Thursday and I'm still thinking about it now! Their food is superb! Best fish and chips I've had in a long long time! They are in a different league to any other fish and chip shops around Laindon & Basildon. Portion sizes very good value for money and the fish even comes with a nice wedge of lemon and sachet of tartar sauce, nice touch! Keep up the good work!

Just had a order delivered of Two skates and one large chips. It’s the first time we have tried it. It was delivered at time we ordered it. I have to say without a doubt it’s the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Lovely crispy chips and the middle skate was so big I had trouble getting it on my plate. I’ve been living in Langdon Hills for many years and in my opinion none of the others in the area are not a patch on Alan’s fish bar

This was our first visit to Alan's fish bar, it definitely didn't disappoint ! Lovely food and lovely staff. Will definitely be back. If I could give them more than five stars I would as there definitely worth it. Been to a few different chippys and this one is definitely at the top of the list of excellence. We'll done and I highly recommend as this is top notch.
