Arlington court has a lot to offer from the museum to it's house to the cafe to the acres of woodland and footpaths to explore it really has something for everyone
The cafe is small and gets busy quickly - seating inside the main cafe, an old stable next door and outside seating
Gardens and land is free to explore freely
Additional cost to house and museum (tickets can be bought online) parking is available
We walked into Arlington court so I am unsure of pricing for cars and admission..

Arlington Court is one of our favourite places to visit for a nice walk that isn't too long (or muddy) and that has a lovely tea room at the end for some well earned tea and cake. Arlington hits the spot on all of these criteria! The walks are on good paths and tracks that are well maintained (National Trust after all) and usually mud free. There are a few different trails and all are well sign posted. This being Devon there are some hills involved but the undulating nature of the terrain just adds to the photogenic nature of this place. You do need to pay to park and to enter the grounds "officially" but there is also a side door you can use if you want to try to get in for free. I can't condone this kind of behaviour but hey, times are hard and you do what you need to do to survive ;-)

Visited this lovely property during the fantastic sunny October weather and highly recommend.
The grounds are beautiful with lots to see and a lot of green space for my 2yo to have a run round. She particularly loved the scarecrow festival and using the hobby horses outside of the carriage museum also.
Lunch was lovely in the cafe as with most NT properties, but particularly appreciated the offering of a 1/2 jacket potato which is a fantastic options for the little ones.
A huge thank you to the fantastic staff though who not only found my daughter’s hand knitted jumper which we managed to drop along the way, but packaged it up so nicely when we came to collect it with some lovely postcards and a badge, making my daughter’s day!
Thank you so much, we will definitely visit in the future!

Each and every one of the staff were so pleasant and helpful. I have never experienced such courtesy or felt so welcome. The house and carriage museum was very informative all set in lovely grounds. Great little cafe. I was also able to hire a disability scooter for just £3... Definitely worth a visit.

This place has the National Trust's carriage collection and there are plenty of walks round the estate.....so great place to take a dog...obviously no animals in the house but they didn't seem to mind in the cafe. If you like model sailing ships in glass cases this place is a must.

Beautiful place with amazing history! The grounds are stunning ti walk around and they have some brilliant trails that you can follow. The carriage museum is amazing to see so many old and restored carriages from over the country. Arlington court itself is stunning and very grand with good history. All staff/volunteers are so helpful and knowledgeable about the court. They are also very friendly and welcoming. I recommend visiting this gem if you have the chance!

I ended up spending much more time here than I expected.
Start with a cuppa and slice of cake in the Old Kitchen Café to energize you for one of walks around the grounds. They range from a mile and half jaunt around the lake to much longer treks through the extensive estate.
There's a lot to see and do. If you have children, they'll love the lawn games; there's something for everyone in the wonderful carriages museum, and the gardens are delightful.
The house itself is a gem, packed with eclectic collections, a literal treasure trove of things to discover.
A wonderful day out.

The house is not big, but it's nice, we really had a lovely day the only draw back is that we had to pay for a parking ticket £4 for 3 hours. There is a nice tea room, you can side outside if you like, wide selection of light meals, drinks, cakes and fruits we had tea for 2 with cakes. Disabled parking next to the gate, there's a pick-up point for those who couldn't walk far. Disabled accessible entrance for those on wheelchairs or scooters. There are lots of walk paths. The volunteers are very helpful, knowledgeable, and polite. We took lots of pictures and videos. I highly recommend everyone to visit if you are up that way or arrange your next stay caution that way.

Beautiful national trust stately home! Around a 10-15 minute ride from Combe Martin. There is a nice cafe, on site toilets and a small gift shop where you get tickets near the car park. There is also a lakeside walk and a private garden. The only disappointment was that the stately home had quite a few rooms closed.

Lovely place with a relaxed atmosphere. The house is relatively small. the Tea-room and the outside sitting-space is very nice. Carriage Museum (also on-site) is interesting. Close by St Jame‘s Church is nice to visit too.
