Cafe Cod

Disappointing... We used to come here about ten years ago when this little business was flourishing and served amazing food, but this time was a different story. The place was empty and the restaurant very cold. The food did not offer good value for money... our bill was just under £25 and the plates were full of garnish, accompanied by very poor portions of mediocre battered cod, small servings of chips and tea, bread and butter for two. We won't be back.

Just back from your ice cream shop next door, train your staff!! Or hire adults who know to wash the ice cream scoop between scoops.. Some people have allergies and it's also just extremely unhygienic to allow the ice cream flavours to mix. Also wasn't told prices and ended up paying far more than I expected, next time advise the customer on the prices especially since it is cash only!

Absolute joke, Spent something like £43.66 in the fish shop on food, we gave them £45 & told them to keep the change, went in to get some ice cream, the 2 "kids" they had working in the ice cream shop were more confused than what we were, asked for a tub & a cone, firstly there were no signs over the ice cream part stating the prices, so we asked how many scoops do you get in a standard tub they answered 4 (not that we asked for 4 scoops we just asked how many scoops do you get in the tub) again they answered 4 as if it was just the one price. Got the tub & cone, turned around after getting the ice cream and there was the signs, now we were not told prices and the prices were only visible after the purches. When it was totalled up we were £0.20 short.... 20p short! & They waited to I ran the whole way to the parking lot to my car for that 20p.... Considering I just gave them £1.34 "tip" next door in the fish shop... What an absolute joke of a place!!

Waste of £25...the service was slow despite us being only customers in shop. Delivery orders taking preference. Staff had little to none hygiene measurements in place, not a glove or hair net in sight, went back and forth from handling money and food.We drove from Belfast to eat here, as I remember fresh food being served. The kids burger was described by my son as being stiff and so was not ate. The 'chicken' kebab, whilst a huge container, was filled with cold chips ,veg and honestly about 3 pieces of cold chicken. The scampi was soggy. Onion rings were exceptionally big and only thing that was edible..90% of this order went in bin and safe to say, we won't be back.
