This place is adorable and the food is good. Not a huge menu, but everything we got tasted really good. I especially loved the grits. I felt like my grandmother was personally making me a southern breakfast in the kitchen of Home Maid - like love and care is put into every dish. Check it out!

We were in Baltimore (my favorite city) for the weekend with friends, and on our final day(Sunday), we went here for brunch. The food was sooooo delicious! I had the James Brown, which was grits with their house made sauce, and deep fried catfish. Just so good. And we also had the Mt Rushmore, which was 3 huge biscuits with berry compote. Ah! Just spectacular! Washed it down with the watermelon cucumber lemon-aid.

The biscuits and lemonade/ tea were good, but the main courses were not that great.

Visited on a Sunday morning.
Food: very delicious. Definitely a 10/10 for taste
Service: everyone was very nice. You just might need some patience.
Atmosphere: nicely decorated!

I had the lamb chop lollipops with eggs and rosemary potatoes. It was bangin! The owner, Kevin, waited on me personally, which was nice of him. This reminds me of the EARLY days of Miss Shirley's; great food with a cool, close-knit vibe. Tables turned over in ample time to ensure you'll find close parking. Prices are reasonable, and the apple cider was perfect for a crisp autumn day. The area is a great opportunity to show someone my city without fielding dumb questions about The Wire. #FIVESTARS

Service was quick, yet not friendly. The food and atmosphere was on point. I would go back

I wanted to love this place because I love their sister business, Cloudy Donuts - but due to the service we received , despite how good the food was, we probably won't return.
We were a party of 4 that came for brunch on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't too busy, there were still a couple of tables open. We got seated quickly and waters were brought, we then sat, and sat, and sat. The waitress came and went to multiple other tables around us, tables that got seated after us had their orders taken first. Finally the waitress came by to take our order, no apology for the wait, no explanation that they were busy or understaffed - she just asked what we wanted. So we quickly made sure that we ordered our drinks and food at the same time.
Everyone but me at the table got coffee, they weren't given the option of cream of sugar, so everyone drank their coffee black, since the waitress never came back to until the food was delivered. When the food was delivered, someone in our party asked her for another coffee to which she looked at him and just turned around and helped another table. She never asked how it was, if we needed anything, etc.
After our meals were finished we sat for at least another 15-20 minutes until someone from our party had to physically get up and ask someone for the check.
Honestly, she got a larger tip than deserved.
The food was great, but the service was absolutely terrible. Four stars are for the food alone.

This sweet charming restaurant is perfect for brunch. By far the best and thickest french toast I've ever had!!

I liked my food, it was tasty. I got the raggedy Ann. My friend said her food was a little burnt tho. Because the dinning area is small you have a long wait time. I think it took us about an hour to get the food but we were patient and enjoyed it.

HomeMaid lives up to its name with food that tastes... well home made. To match the food the restaurant interior has a wonderful & cozy atmosphere that really makes it feel like you are in someone's kitchen. They are only open on the weekends so you may have to wait a few minutes for a table but it is definitely worth the wait. The staff also makes the experience wonderful. I didn't get the name of the person who seated us or greeted us but they were both very friendly. Our server Emani was fast, friendly, and efficient as well.
I haven't tried everything in their menu yet but my thoughts on the items I have are below.
HomeMaid Sandwich w/Grits -
Grits - The sauce is kind of salty & savory. The grits themselves are creamy w/the perfect amount of cheese. It's a great combination.
Sandwhich - Delicious & perfectly cooked using the French toast as the bread was a good choice.
Counter Culture Coffee - Deliciously balanced Dark roast, cream & sugar served in nice metal containers.
Betty White French Toast: vanilla cream is a fantastic combo with the giant piece of French toast, it pairs well with the hazelnut spread and the saltiness of the thick bacon allows for all palettes to be satisfied!
Raggity Anne: The French toast is thick cut with a crispy exterior and fluffy inside. The vanilla creme and berry compote add an amazing flavor to the already delicious french toast. Definitely a favorite.
Full Monty:
Biscuit: Flavorful & soft inside with a perfectly crispy exterior.
Eggs: Mixed with the perfect amount of cheese & cooked beautifully
Bacon: Thick cut & delicious
