The Red Boat

This was our first time at the Red Boat and we will definitely be back. After traveling to Vietnam a few years ago and tasting many pho’s, we liked the pho’s here. It was tasty and filling. We were, however, a little disappointed with the shrimp spring rolls. Next time, we will try the kimchi fries, and we also hope there will be more customers. We were the only ones for an early dinner.

Cute place. I had the duck wonton and the boat with lemongrass pork, noodles, pickled dikon and carrots and cheese. So light and good. The sauce for the wontons was nice flavor and a hint of heat. Asian food is not normally my choice but I found a meal I could definitely eat often! They have a pool table in the back too.

Amazing vegan options and tasty ones too! The food was amazing. The staff were friendly and the food came out fast and was hot! My daughter's soup was tremendous in size bordering on ridiculously huge. She did not complain and is excited to have left overs. The boat is the bomb and the tacos are amazing! We are an entirely vegan family so I am speaking of vegan options on these. The tofu is insanely delicious! We can NOT wait to come back and try other things.

My roommate had never had Bahn-mi, which is a real shame. So we decided we would try this place out, because bahn-mi is amazing. Well we got to here a little bit late, and the kitchen was no longer cooking full meals, we just missed it. Bummer. The waitress was super nice though, giving fried food recommendations and wanting to make sure we had a nice night regardless. Later while chatting. I mentioned my roommate had never had bahn mi, and you could visually tell that she felt really bad. So she told us maybe she could whip something up. She HERSELF went back into the kitchen and made us 2 AMAZING bahn mi sandwiches. Usually, I will give good food and crappy service five stars if the food merits it. I wish I could give this place 6 stars because not only was the food amazing, the service was next level. These people really care about making sure you enjoy your night. The prices are very competitive (I predicted our bill would be $20 more than it actually was), the atmosphere is amazing! This is a very chill spot and late night crowd is relaxed (about 10 people in total that night). Which was great because we got to play a few games of pool. To top it all off, I gave the owner and the waitress/chef a handshake to thank them for their outstanding service. And then they gave us shots on the HOUSE! This place deserves 7 stars. Great food, and greater vibes. Will definitely be back.

Always excited to see asian fusion restaurants pop up in Baltimore so I knew I wanted to try this spot. Came in just before lunch rush with my husband. I decided to get the lemongrass pork bahn mi, my husband got the beef bulgogi tacos and we shared an order of kimchi fries w/ bulgogi beef as well. Christina was very friendly and had provided great customer service. The pork on the bahn mi was very flavorly and the bread has a nice crunchy crust which I thoroughly enjoyed, the pickled veggies tasted very fresh. My husband loved his bulgogi tacos as well. The kimchi fries mistakenly came out without the additional bulgogi we had ordered but was immediately given some bulgogi beef on the side. The kimchi fries on its own was already good but the tender beef definitely took it to the next level. Will come back for the kimchi fries again for sure!
