Cardinal Tavern

I’ve been here several times and the food has always been great, the people are always friendly. It’s a great local spot if you’re looking to entertain family and friends from out of town. Or if you’re looking to have an event for work they have a great space upstairs. The owner is very easy to get along with and will work with you and the staff to make sure your event goes off without a hitch.

Cardinal Tavern is a fantastic relaxing experience at the corner of Hudson and Clinton with exterior and interior tables and seats galore at the bar. The food is great. The ambiance is cool. The music is whatever you choose. The staff are kind and professional. During our visits we have been so well treated, that we hate leaving the tavern. The owner doesn't realize how special she and the Cardinal Tavern are. What a treat for her customers ! There aren't adequate words to describe our feeling of loss as we leave each time.

I hosted a client event at the Cardinal and it was excellent! The food was set up upstairs and was delicious. Anytime something was running low it was immediately replaced. The drinks were cold and the atmosphere was just what I wanted for a client event. Overall great experience! Thanks Alice and staff!
