My husband and I were invited by friends to try this Greek restaurant only a month ago for and were blown away.
The head chef and owner, Martina is talented, creative and a generous host.
We began with Greek margaritas garnished with crushed hibiscus flower - just wow! The flavours were amazing. Moved on to a Macedonian red wine and then treated with a complimentary mastic liqueur.
We had homemade small pita breads, octopus, saganaki prawns, chips with feta and slow cooked lamb. Every dish we sampled was sublime!
Carefully thought out and so fresh.
A modern twist on a not so modern cuisine. We have been back again since then and it has become one of our favourites. A hidden gem on Darling Street. A must visit.

This Greek Restaurant is a wonderful surprise on Darling Street in Balmain.
Located in a quieter section of the suburb, the food is delicious, the service is friendly
and the prices are very reasonable considering their size.
A special thank you to the host Matina and our waiter Ash for the wonderful evening!
Will definitely be going back.

I didn’t know Greek food could be this good. In fact, it’s so amazing here that there wasn’t a dish I could fault. The richness of the eggplant and slow-cooked lamb is perfectly balanced with the side of an ancient grains salad (it’s like something out of an Ottolenghi book but better). Try some of the handmade taramosalata served with soft pita bread and you’ll never want to eat the store-bought variety again. The zucchini and feta fritters with tzatziki was surprisingly light and creamy on the inside and crispy outside. We finished it off with a dessert called “bougatsa” (sadly the only thing I ended up taking a photo of ...) which was a lovely warm semolina custard-filled filo pastry served with a berry sorbet 👌But the real revelation was the small but interesting selection of Greek wines and spirits (try the Mastiha, which they have also churned into a beautifully earthy ice cream - see white ice cream in photo), which all go wonderfully with the food. And great service to boot! 💫💫💫

Food was excellent as was the service. Being placed out of sight behind a wall in an almost empty restaurant killed any atmosphere and just made us want to leave ASAP

This is the best restaurant in Balmain! Textures and flavours of each dish were truly outstanding. Ambience was lovely and the owner came out to greet us at the start and finish of our dinner. 11/10! Bravo . I'll be rushing back
