I have been waiting from last three years to get my hands on cranberry lemon cake but had no luck as they sold out so quickly
Finally had a chance to eat cranberry lemon cake last week. It is an amazing explosion of taste. The sourness of cranberry and lemon makes a perfect combination and it’s not too sweet as well

Visit June 4, 2022. Excellent quality of baked goods, solid variety of other pre-prepared and frozen foods. Suggest to arrive early to ensure they may not be short of popular items. Reasonably priced considering the quality. Some challenges may be experienced with those individuals who may be mobility impaired.

Purchased a package of Don's white scone buns this afternoon while shopping at our local Food Basics here in Kemptville. I'd never seen them in the store before and I'd never heard of Don's. My wife and I decided to try them this evening as a sandwich. To cut a long story short, they were so delicious we ate the entire dozen. I hope Food Basics continue to offer them in their store. We just loved them. They're amazing just plain with butter.

Totally bummed … I spent EVERY summer here as a kid and the bakery was always open by now. We drove off highway just for Don’s. Was NOT open called they answered but wouldn’t gimme my scones. I know they have them frozen. Omg so bummed. Would give them 10 star if open bakery is amazing…. They are inside now baking won’t gimme any!!!!….. lol ….. come on I drove from Prince Edward Island for your scones….. ok also sticky buns!!!….uhhhh ok I changed rating… but you could have passed me scones!!!

Go FOR THE SCONES !!! But save some for me!!! Honestly I do love this bakery rating four stars because they are fantastic summers at the cottage wouldn’t be the same without dons lost a star though because for a few years now the Chelsea has been… different they are smaller and not as fluffy as the Chelsea of my childhood … still buy one every week in the summer though I just miss that fluffy buttery taste it used to have

The only disappointing about this place is when it’s closed for the season! Don’s Bakery is a charming and local bakery in Bala. I can vouch for their Apple fritters, chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon rolls and the Skor cake which as been my birthday cake the last few years. The people who work there, fabulous. They’re kind and enhance my experience every visit. Happy to have been there this past weekend. Looking forward to going back next time we’re at the cottage!

I just fell in love with this Bakery when we visited Muskoka, Bala. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The cakes were awesome, I loved the Banana and Chocolate chip cake. The cookies were awesome too. If you heading to Muskoka, pls do visit Bala and Don Bakery, I am sure you gonna love it.

Just had the vegan friendly cherry pie, but nothing was friendly about it. Literally everyone at the dinner stopped eating it right away and threw them all away. The consistency inside was like crumbly weird jello and terrible taste. The crust also had absolutely no flavour. Very weird and waaay overpriced.
