This was my first stop after landing in Austin. The staff were cool and friendly. I got some delicious breakfast quesadillas with chorizo and avocado. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. Bottomless coffee and water. Free wireless internet that was pretty damn fast. Not sure how you could go less than 5 out of 5!

Will never go to Austin and not come here. The best iced coffee I've ever had and the vegetarian eggs Benedict is so inventive and delicious. Patio is dog friendly and beautiful spot to sit on your way to Zilker.

Back in town for work and had to hit an old favorite for breakfast. Sure things have changed in 5 years, but it is just as comfortable now as it was then. Super friendly staff, great coffee selection, food, and music on the patio. Add in the sunny morning and my trip back in time is complete!

Whether you're looking for a quick cheap place for breakfast or to try a different variation of Chicken & Waffles, Austin Java has it all. Ordered at the counter and got my food roughly 10 minutes later. For breakfast I got the Chicken & Waffles which were pretty good. The corn flake breaded chicken paired very well with the coffee maple syrup and green chile bacon jam. Good customer service. Overall, I left satisfied!

Great coffee drinks and breakfast items. Honestly one of the smoothest mocha drinks I've ever had. The atmosphere is relaxing, good for intimate outings or groups. Plus they have a great dog friendly patio! The main reason I gave 4/5 stars has to do with their lunch options and breakfast tacos. The food is good, but not great and if you are used to eating a "Texas sized" meal like my husband, they don't provide large enough portions. The breakfast tacos (that i ordered) were also lacking flavor and balance among the ingredients. Honestly I enjoy coming here, but there are better options in other parts of town to get a similar experience with higher quality food.

Excellent place for breakfast! Super nice staff and great food. The place looks a bit disheartening from the outside, but I strongly advise you go in! You won’t regret it! 2 things you guys should know though: 1) parking is free as long as you get the ticket validated inside by Austin Java and 2) you don’t get seated. Just stand in line, order your food at the cashier, then they’ll give you your number and you can pick your own table. Thanks!

OMG! After traveling through Central America for three months, we had to stop in at one of my favorite places for breakfast! Consistently delicious with a great atmosphere, we ended up going two days in a row! It's tough picking what to get because we love it all! Austin Java gets the BE Adventure Partners seal of approval!

We were out for a little Sunday dinner and ordered one of our children kid's pasta, however, we didn't specify what type. One of our 3 little angels didn't want the penne that arrived because she was expecting spaghetti. Without us even asking, Diego took it upon himself to come to the rescue! He brought a bowl of spaghetti in 3 minutes and saved the day! Austin Java always has good food, atmosphere, a great beer selection and even better employees! Solid work, Diego!

I just came early for coffee with a friend. Staff was friendly. There's plenty of seating and the vanilla latte was excellent. Great place to go work too. It wasn't too loud or crowded. The only downside is that finding parking is tricky. We got a spot bc it was so early but I would probably uber if I went later than 7:00AM

Austin Java aims to provide "a true taste of Austin". They hit the mark on the set up of the restaurant with a rustic decoration scheme and a nice patio area. The staff is on point too, with a kindness common to Austin's locals. I was served by a youth - a nice touch. The service itself was a little slower than I would have liked, but this is a great move if you go and aren't in a hurry.
The food was just okay. I went with the two item tacos. Yes, it's a simple dish. What did I expect? Something That makes the menu, no matter how plain, should wow me. The tacos didn't. I did see a lot of food coming out of the kitchen that I got the distinct impression would have been delightful had I picked them instead.
If you are looking for a taste of Austin, Austin Java is a good place to start. You can find a better meal, but the ambience and staff are tough to beat, even if for only one visit.

Coffee was good. Cream cheese was a bit skimpy as they gave me a single small prepackaged tub for two bagel halves, but the staff was very friendly and probably would have given me another if I'd have asked. Bagel was a good quality, chewy bagel that didn't seem to be a cheap Walmart bagel.
Confused about where to park, though. They don't seem to have any parking of their own.

Came here on a busy morning to get a cup of coffee and some beans to take home. There was a long line and lot going on - they had a hard time finding the coffee bags and the mobile registers were out of batteries - but they adapted to the chaos quickly and I felt like my experience and wait time was genuinely respected. The coffee was great, and we happily used up the beans pretty quickly, so I'll be back!

Something about this place gives me good vibes and makes me smile. I really like the front patio, and find that it's a perfect place to read a book, and drink a cup of coffee in the morning. I like the set up, and large space that this location enjoys. I feel that the diverse rooms give me options depending on what type of mood I am in. The coffee is tasty, and bottomless. For something different to eat I recommend the Spinach & Artichoke Benedict.

This is a great place for a quick breakfast. We always sit at the bar to skip the wait. The bartenders are friendly and fast. The food is great and there are healthy options for breakfast. My wife likes their coffee. Park in the garage behind the restaurant, they'll validate the ticket.
