Great sandwiches that are tasty and always fresh. Their pastrami is off-the-hook good and we often have a hard time deciding which one to get. The bahn-mi is my go to favorite most of the time. Excellent service with friendly staff and they remember your name.
This is a local's favorite and am glad we have them!

This is the best deli in town. All of the food is delicious! Max and all of his employees are kind and friendly. It’s a delightful, quaint place to enjoy a wonderful lunch!

Better than the best sandwich in town! They have some of the best sandwiches I've had... period. Don't forget to grab a loaf of Sourdough to go. Making the magic at home is VERY rewarding 😁

This is my favorite sandwich place to go. I’ve been going to them for more than a decade. They have a great selection of sandwiches but The Pilgrim is my absolute favorite. Great service and the owner is very friendly.

Love this place. The food is excellent and you can tell a lot of care is put into it. The brisket banh mi is a must try but their salads are creative and some of the best I’ve ever had.

Well priced sandwiches with a lot of different options to choose from. I would recommend the subs over the regular style bread because they seem a little bigger and are the same price. The service could be a bit better for certain employees, but the owner is very passionate.

Excellent sandwiches, soups, and service.
Two visits now,this time #6 ,turkey, Swiss, avocado, tomatoe,on a sour dough roll.
Simple but nicely assembled.
Mushroom Bisque, delicious, creamy, variety of mushrooms, thick..Good.
Service is prompt and polite. Busy place at lunchtime. Located near the Dr office area in Auburn.

Nice atmosphere, better than I had predicted from outside. The menu had a large selection of sandwiches and I chose the Brisket Bánh Mi. It was delicious enough to discuss again the next day and plan my next visit to Max's. An overwhelming choice of chips that come with your sandwich. I'll be back!!!!

I have been going to Max's Deli for over a year and gotta tell you they got this sandwich business down! Phenomenal flavors, warm, friendly customer service from Max and his team, and quality food, from the sandwiches to the chili and potato salad. My go-to has always been the Brisket Banh Mi, sometimes with bacon, but they're all pretty amazing. Unfortunately open only during lunch hour from 10-2 and weekdays only, otherwise I'd be stopping by on weekends after trail runs. If you're in the Auburn area during lunch on a weekday, you won't want to miss a stop here!
