Five Daughters

Finally was successful in navigating the parking and construction debacle in order to hand carry a half dozen of these little gems to my dear friends in Chicago. Wayne at the counter was super helpful and kind. He made my struggle so easy! When I arrived this morning, everything was in stock which was awesome to have a full selection. Tomorrow these little goodies will be jetting their way to Midway Airport. Can't wait to gift my friends with these and see the looks on their faces when they take their first bite!!!

Just yum. I tried a mini sugar cookie donut today and I can't describe how delicious it was! My donut standards are high and I am usually not very impressed even with places that everyone raves about. Let me tell you, 5 Daughters have some kind of sugar magic going on! There was flavor in every bite, no boring donut bites in this one. I will get one (or many) every time I am at PCM. Also, the service was super friendly!

A hidden gem inside Ponce City Market! If you are looking for delicious donuts, pastries and more look no further than Five Daughters Bakery. A little off the beaten path but well worth the visit.(they are tucked behind the king of pops) From a lovely design and cute packaging, you will have a distinct gift or treat for yourself or a friend or loved one. I was a fool and realized I should have taken more photos when I had more items but here's what I got. (all the photos are of the s'mores donut) s'mores donut - my wife absolutely loved this one. It's very rich, a darker chocolate rather than a milk chocolate. A nice choice giving a more bittersweet taste which doesn't get lost in the creamy sweet marshmallow. Not only does it have marshmallows on top but there is some sort of marshmallow cream inside the donut. It's delicious. Next I had the vegan pumpkin chocolate. This one I thought was ok . It was good don't get me wrong. I had wanted to try something a little different..felt like it was missing something to it. But hard to compare these donuts as they are for two sets of people. It was very moist and soft which was great! . Lastly I had a miniature cinnamon donut. This I think was my favorite. It was exactly what I was in the mood for at the time. I definitely plan on visiting again. I look forward to more delightful treats and experimenting with the variety of items. I don't think I mentioned it earlier but the staff was also great! Very friendly and gave me good insight.

Wow!! I’ve had cronuts before but these were next level. Our family got about 6 flavors to try, including the molasses pecan, pumpkin cheesecake, plain, s’mores, chocolate frosted, strawberry. I personally loved the molasses pecan the most. The worker there was friendly and the branding is pretty and fun. There are cute sweatshirts and merchandise you can buy if you want to. And plenty of drink options. There is no seating inside the donut shop because it’s right next to the Ponce food court, but that’s fine, we just took it to go after we grabbed dinner there.

Donuts were so tasty! Like a mix between a donut and pastry. Delicious I had to go back for more before I left town! I recommend this if you have a sweet craving! The Smore one by far was the best one I had! The marshmallow cream in the smore one just compliments the entire donut so well. I will be back when I visit!! :)
