Corner On Union

This is my second time here and I’ve been impressed both times. The staff is helpful and attentive. One of the owners, Ric Wasserman, came and made sure our meal and experience was what we hoped. The atmosphere is upscale without feeling out of place in the often laid back Athens. I had the Brussels sprouts which are absolutely amazing. And the Sicilian that the bartender, Rae, made was exceptional. This is exactly the fresh of breath air that Athens needs and I hope this spot on Union has found it’s permanent resident. And there is a parking lot, rare in downtown Athens.

Heard this place had good food but finally got to try it. Had the brussel sprouts, bread, and a drink special. Very delicious. The owner happened to be here the evening we came for appetizers and was very friendly and thanked us for coming. Will definitely eat here again, lots of interesting things on the menu I’d like to try. Reasonable prices. A nice change of pace for Athens

Finally got the chance to eat at The Corner on Union and was NOT disappointed. Started off the meal with the Pork Belly and it was amazing! My husband got the Shrimp and grain risotto and i got the Kobe Beef Burger .. both were absolutely delicious. Loved the variety of wines and cocktails they had to offer too. The service was amazing and our server knew the menu inside and out. If you’re looking for a place to get great drinks and food look no further! We will be back!

We tried this place twice and both times were extremely disappointing. The bar is always out of even simple wines and mixers. On both occasions, the food had entirely too much salt (appetizers and entrees). I really want to like this place because Athens needs more upscale restaurants, but I can't continue justifying $100 on dinner and drinks for 2 when I've never been able to finish a single dish I've ordered.

Delightful evening . This wholly new restaurant holds great promise and represents a needed asset for the Athens scene. A very talented bartender created authentic and well crafted cocktails. Great wines by the glasses and bottle, and of course ... THE FOOD. A chef who presents terrific food is the beating heart of the Corner experience! Great ingredients properly cooked. Great service. The restaurant is still developing its full panache but is already an evening to remember . Owners are committed and knowledgeable. ENJOY ATHENS.

Waited over an hour for our food. The duck was lame and sitting in a pool of butternut squash baby food with whole carrots. A $25 plate of food I had to choke down but not finish. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was good but not as good as in the past. There was only one server and she was great, but she was also tending bar. The whole place was running behind... bummer
