Alumni Cookie Dough

Had a wonderful experience at Alumni Cookie Dough. The staff was friendly and curteous. The cookie dough was amazing...sampled quite a few flavours and couldn't pick a favourite. Ordered a milk shake and it was probably the best milk shake I have ever had. Will definitely be back!!! Well worth it for sure. One thing I would like to point out is the fact that Alumni is involved with the special needs community. The fact that they employ people with special needs is amazing and I loved to see that in the store.

Always a staple of my trips to Athens, I love Alumni Cookie Dough. The flavors are always fun and delicious. I'm a big fan of the classic cookie dough. A fair warning, the cookie dough is very rich. A small is almost too much for me to finish. The shop is always clean and the staff friendly. Definitely recommend a stop in after visiting any of the excellent lunch/dinner spots around Athens!

I almost feel bad because the staff was really nice but the cookie dough was much too rich and the cookie ice cream was meh. The cookie itself was soft but the flavor tasted no better than grocery store cookies. The vanilla ice cream was very plain and the chocolate ice cream was even worse. I’m not sure about the hype because I wasn’t impressed. The do donate some of their money towards charities in the communities so that’s something? I’d never go back.

To be fair, we didn't get anything off the menu here. Things looked really good and we wanted to get something here but the service was so slow we had to leave after waiting 10 minutes. I am sure they are struggling like everyone else to fully staff their location. There were two people on staff. One was doing prep work in the back and the other was taking orders, making the orders and then checking them out. One or two more people on staff would have made all the difference.
