Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Stopped in for dessert and coffee after a sushi dinner nearby. The chocolate hot fudge cake with vanilla ice cream really hit the spot! I was really pleased because that was exactly what I wanted. It’s chocolate cake with chocolate icing then slathered with hot fudge sauce, peanuts, whipped cream and a cherry on top, with a side of vanilla ice cream. They have really good coffee here too. I enjoyed as much as I could stand though. I’d already had a big dinner so I didn’t have a lot of room for cake. The chocolate cake slice is really big too, easily enough for two people. Cheddars was a really good choice for our dessert stop.

I love to pop into Cheddar's to split the Buffalo Chicken wrap. The buffalo sauce is spot on, the cabbage is crunchy, and the pickles are extra dill which pulls it all together. Another nice thing is that they bring ranch dressing with ithe wrap which is great to dip the fries in. We have tried so many entrees here and they have all been good. But, for a quick bite the buffalo wrap is definitely our go to.

Visited today for the first time. The staff is friendly and respectful, the restaurant is clean and the presentation of the food is good. Our college kid loves this place so we decided to give it a try while visiting Athens. We ordered steak and coconut shrimp. Everything was good except for the sauce that comes with the coconut shrimp. The flavor of the sauce is overpowering and TOO sweet. We opted for eating the coconut shrimp just as they were without the special sauce. The croissants they serve while you wait for the food are amazing! I think they have honey butter brushed over them. I doubt they are home made but they definitely are yummy. Will consider going back .

I have mixed feelings about this place. Everything looks really nice. But the restaurant was empty, staff members were gathered in a place near the entrance and the bartenders were purposely slow. OMG I almost poured a beer myself :) The waiting was close to 45 min and the entrance was packed. I understand the kitchen might have been short staffed tonite, but slowing down the service at the bar? We need booooze on Friday night, people 🤭 One bartender saved me and fixed a Painkiller, and all my problems are gone. But there is a crowd outside waiting for service...
