Big Al's

First trying out Big Al's and was amazing from the first step inside the door. I was greeted with a smile how ya doing and what can I get for you today. The food was just as good as it sounded on the menu. I had the ABC burger comes with fresh avocado ,onion,lettuce,bacon,burger patty, house mustard sauce and mayo .It was delicious the bacon was cooked just right and just the right amount crisp to it. Also got a order of chili fries and they we're just as good . Also got a bacon burger that came with everything ABC burger except minus the avocado . Oops don't forget the great shakes and maltd Everything was overall great. Great service great food definitely be back.

Simple and delicious. This place looks like it hasn't changed since the day it opened, and that's a good thing! Burger joint staples like patty melts, pastrami burgers, onion rings, tots. Who could ask for more? The menu has heaps of burger options, shakes, and Mexican food. Big juicy portions, classic atmosphere, and the nicest staff you could ask for. It was our first time here, and we'll be back!

Talk about a overrated, overpriced wannabe "Drive-In"! More like an overglorified Mexican restaurant. The cheapskate, pushy owner of this place has got it made since it seems all the brown nosing Libs in Ashland don't know what a good burger or real Drive-In is. Paid $5 for what I thought was going to be a "large" side order of fries with my about average tasting, overpriced burger.. What I got instead was half a basket of, over fried, extremely short, hollow, crinkle cut fries! (See pic). Absolutely inedible! Then tries to charge me 50 cents for sauce aftet spending almost $35! I feel this was personal since the owner of this place was being pretty rude with me from the get go, most likely because he didn't like something about my appearance. He's overly pushy about the muzzle policy yet his restaurant was stuffy with no A/C, running or doors open and it was dirty. First and last time eating here. Left here still hungry, disappointed, with a lighter wallet. There's much better burger joints out there, even the some of the chain places would put this place to shame!

Was pretty surprised to see this place had 1 star reviews but after reading them am realizing the people who left them definitely SUCK. This place is great, I have eaten here for 6+ years and it's always consistent, the prices haven't gone up like everywhere else in this town, and the service is excellent. They have never once messed up my food. The food is solid, it's not the most swanky establishment in town, but it's cheap, fast and delicious.

Service is quick, high-ceilinged diner-style interior is both airy & cozy (even money on whether the unpatched rips in the booth foam are a feature or a bug). Burger is tasty, toppings fresh. Bun integrity is below average - it didn't disintegrate entirely, but it did flop. Fries were good-grade commercial shoestrings hot out of the fryer, with salt & pepper plus mystery seasoning on the table. Overall a satisfying meal, reasonably priced in today's market.
