Hickory Tavern

This has become my go to bar in town. They always keep my favorite beers in stock for me. Bartenders are awesome. We come and hang out with Kayla most nights and she takes great care of us. She’s fast and is always on top of all the bar guests needs. Food is delicious and they always have on all the games. Would definitely recommend.

Food was great but service was even better. We had our dog with us who is very well behaved. My husband a disabled vet (we didn't bring that up to the staff) is very attached to our dog and didn't wanna leave him behind. When we arrived to Hickory Tavern we were told the back patio was closed so we wouldn't be able to bring our dog. Erica, the hostess was nice enough to go talk to management (without us asking, we understood we couldn't and were ok with leaving). Erica told us they couldn't accommodate us and so we left. Then shortly, we heard Erica yelling out to come back as the waitress assured she wouldn't have a problem serving us outside on the patio. The waitress was super nice to us and our doggie and provided great service. We surely will be back because food you can find anywhere but service like this is hard to find.

We came with a large group, about 9 people, and had the split the checks individually. Heather was our server, and she was amazing in keeping up with all of us. I ordered the hand-breaded chicken tenders with a side of gouda mac and cheese, which was an up-charge (understandably so). The food was really good. The tenders came with a honey mustard dipping sauce, and I do not usually like honey mustard (I don’t like mustard in general), but the mustard flavor was low enough that it was sweet and paired well with the tenders. The gouda mac and cheese was really good, too. I will say that for the amount of food I got, I felt that the price was high. So I don’t think I would order this combination again.

The fish and chips are good. There are television sets large and small all over the restaurant. Nice indoor high top seating as well as nice outdoor seating. Close to several the shops and fairly easy parking. The great place to go for food and to watch sports. I've never had anything bad there. The salmon and the burgers are really good as well.

Great service, both @ the inside bar w/ Kayla & outside on the patio with Sarah! American Pub Food done perfectly! Husband had charred cajun rub (dry) wings, & they were awesome!! (He added a side of mild Buffalo sauce over them on his own) & I had the Turkey Reuben, with side of gouda Mac & cheese. Everything was delicious... TV's were playing current sports...
