I love this place but man their expensive. Not only that but I had 3 different people tell me 3 different things about how to preserve my cake until my daughters birthday. I however finally did get with the actual cake maker (you have to see her by appointment only) and she made everything clear to me! So I was thankful for that!! For a 2 tier cake, is when you HAVE to make an appointment to go in & see her. One tired cakes you can go in & give them whatever your order is you want done. But let’s just say I paid a lot for a cake that won’t even have any decorations on it. Just plain black because it’s going to be a glow in the dark/UV black light cake & NO ONE around me will make a cake like that because they all say it’s too expensive & they don’t get enough orders for them to buy the stuff to do them. So I ordered all the stuff myself to decorate it but I just needed a basic 2 tired cake in all black & it was still quite expensive!! Now with that in mind, I still do love this place. My gma has been going here for 40+ years & they make special cookies everyday! You can go in & buy individual cookies ($1.50 or more per cookie). Like on st.pattys day they had cookies just for that holiday so I grabbed some for my girls. I love this place & do recommend them but just be ready to pay if you get a 2 tired cake. (When I get the cake I’ll edit my review & show pic of it) but here is some of the other cookies I’ve gotten from there also

I need to go back here when it’s not 45 minutes before they close. In fact, I’m sure the selection right after they open is quite impressive. Even after 5pm on a Saturday they still had a lot of goodies to choose from. Cheesecakes, donuts, pineapple upside down cakes, baklava, cookies, and more. Everything looked fresh and the things we ate later tasted great. The young ladies working behind the counter were very sweet and attentive. I definitely need to come here more often.

I just picked up a cake for my sons birthday. We love Harters and usually buy a cake from them for every celebration. We asked for a Fortnite cake and I have never played the game, but I also know a little bit about it. I was expecting it to look a little more “Fortnite” and was confused by the camping scene. I understand completely though about the no copyright rule and I respect that completely. My kids knew what it was after I had to tell them what it was. Honestly, I don’t care about the cake. It is still cute and delicious no matter what. What bothered me was the girl assisting the cashier didn’t bother to look up from her phone when I asked a question the about the cake. I felt like I was an inconvenience and it was completely disrespectful. She just reiterated “yup, this is the Fortnite cake we do…” while looking down at her phone and that was it. The cashier was kind and helpful though. I bought a dozen more cupcakes and went on my way. I just wanted to make Harters aware of the customer service experience. We will continue to support and purchase cakes from there, but that was a very unpleasant experience.
