Hy-vee

Love this Hy-vee. Been coming to this location since I moved to Iowa and most of the employees there are really nice and friendly, they normally have everything we need and we love the gas rewards. Only cashier I would note to try to avoid is Sue, she seems agitated like she doesn’t want to be there, she also seems somewhat rude, especially to the people bagging groceries who she makes run to replace items that don’t even have anything wrong with them and most of the young men at the checkout area are very helpful and we always appreciate that.

Hyvee is trying too hard to be anything but the friendly grocery store it used to be. Constantly changing the store around just to make customers spend more time walking around lost buying items they don't need (it just makes me stop coming here if anything), dropping food products to add more beauty/ clothes/ toys/ etc and hardly anyone around to ring up groceries. I prefer a worker to ring up my groceries rather than do it all myself.

Very helpful staff, good selection. My only complaint is that hy-vee store brands are really not great when it comes to processed foods (frozen appetizers, spaghetti sauce, entrees). Their frozen veggies and canned veggies are good. Their bakery has some really great things, but I've found mold on some of their take and bake items when I got home on 2 occasions. Croissants and creme cakes are great. Meat is good but not as good as faraway. I've had yogurts with mold on them before expiration date. I'm guessing it's a shipping or storage problem. You just have to try things out. If you do try a store brand and don't like it you can report it on their website and get a voucher to replace it or get store credit, which is a really great feature. Groceries are getting expensive and I really like that I can try new things without throwing money away if I don't care for it.

love the meat dept. everyone so helpful always a good selectuon still a good place to shop. They're remodeling so patience is needed. Everyone working hard but will take time to help you find what you need😁 So remodel is done😊 Took a few trips to learn where everything is. So glad the Asian food is still up front. We love the sushi selections.
