Ichiban

Round Two for us at Ichiban. I think Ichiban is quickly becoming our go to sushi spot. Tonight I went for the Spicy & Creamy Scallop sushi side, with there MOO sushi entree. The scallops had a nice texture and heat that wasn't overbearing. The entree was made with steak, shrimp tempura, scallions and spicy ponzu. The spice heat from the ponzu built with each bite. I'm a lightweight when it comes to spicy foods, but I'm tryin 👀. I thoroughly enjoyed each bite. We arrived just after they opened at 5pm today and we were able get a table quickly. Our server was prompt and friendly. Appetizers and entrees came quickly after ordering. We will definitely be back. 👍

This place gives Benihana’s a run for their money. First let me say that it was one of the BEST amaretto sours I’ve ever had and they didn’t even know how to make it! Our chef was funny and amazing! Our table was kinda quiet though except me me and babe. The service was excellent and no long wait for a table. The food was delicious too!

We had a team lunch here for someone's birthday. Although I made a reservation because of the size of our group, we probably didn't need to because its not super busy during lunch. Which results in more attentiveness from the staff. The food was AMAZING!! The service was GREAT! Definitely will choose them over the other place across the parking lot!

This would have been my first time going to Ichiban Steak and Sushi Alpharetta had I have eaten here. I really was looking forward to hibachi. I called the restaurant and asked if I could make a reservation. The young woman said you could not make a same day reservation but there was hardly anyone there so I wouldn't have a problem with being seated. I rushed to get there and was told that it would be 45 minutes to 1 hr wait since two parties reserved themselves several minutes before I arrive. I explained to the woman that I called about 30 minutes ago and someone told me that you could not make same-day reservation. Another woman who was quite rude and obnoxious said they didn't make a reservation they just put their names on a waiting list. I asked her wasn't that the same as reserving a table? She said yes and then no. I reminded her that I called not long prior to our in-person conversation and she just looked at me like there was nothing she could do. She didn't even apologize for the inconvenience of the miscommunication. I truly hate giving a one star especially since I consider customer service and food a proper review but I had to walk out because of the frustration that I had and the rudeness that was presented from the hostess. She flat out lied to my face which ticked me off even more. Needless to say I will not be coming to try this hibachi restaurant.
