Small basement café down the steps below the shop/delicatessen. Serves delicious cake, which I can recommend, as I can the lovely shop which sells all manner of goodies. Good to purchase your gifts from.
This is a lovely place to eat. The food is delicious and the staff are so very friendly and welcoming. The delicatessen has some excellent local produce too. We have visited Grannie's several times already, and will be doing so more often when we move to live in Alnwick in the near future.
Grannies is a quintessential British cafe/tearoom. It has a homely and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Its sandwich/toastie menu was particularly impressive with every filling you could ever want. We also had some cakes and hot drinks which were fabulous. Would recommend!

Quaint little place, underground of a cakeshop, with only 5-6 tables for eating. There's not a lot of room but its cosy and atmospheric. The staff are great and the food is good.
