Timber Cafe

Timber is definitely not a vegetarian cafe as per Google Maps label. Menu was ok, very breakfasty focused. Whomever had wiped the table down had stacked salt and pepper shakers on top of the sugar bowl and the lot crashed to the ground in a loud clatter when i sat down. The fork and knife had visible fingerprints on them; i noticed a lady at another table also cleaning the silverware with wipes at the same time. There was no hand sanitiser at the tables or entrance or visible at all except at the register inside. The menus were dirty paper (suggest laminating and regular wipedowns). In this escalating era of Covid-19, these are real issues for me. I think its just a matter of the cafe learning the new rules in this new norm, hopefully they will note this review. I will return and see some time down the track. The three stars are for the friendly service, the meal of a properly toasted flaky fresh croissant (that wasn't flattened within an inch of its being) and beautiful infused chai, and the effective dual banks of outdoor heaters. Kudos too, to whomever built the outdoor undercover area around a large tree instead of cutting it down.

Food tasted ok, but definitely not worth the wait, waitress had no idea what she was doing and there was no friendly smile or service, wrong order came out twice before they got it right…..calamari then spaghetti bolenaise before the carbonara made it to the table, extremely long lunch date, absolutely would not recommend
