Acworth Fish Camp

Do not eat here, especially if it's busy. I understand it's busy, but it took 90+ minutes to get the meal. The waitress was great, but the manager played on his phone the whole time while his kitchen crashed and burned, paying no attention that his staff was struggling, and kitchen times were a huge issue. He needs to get of his phone and expo his kitchen tickets. When we returned most of the food as inedible, he would only give us 20% off, unless we showed him the uneaten plates, which waitress had already thrown away. Unheard of in restaurant management. This joker needs a different job. Feel bad for the staff. It's a great location with a beautiful view but poor management. Pack a picnic instead.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO!! We have loved this place for years! That ended TODAY! WE WON'T GO BACK!! We spent 2 hours there with 4 adults and 4 teenagers. We left owing $70 for appetizers and drinks and just sent the teenagers to Krystal for dinner!! The restaurant was about 1/2 empty, we should have known!! The first waitress we had ended up in a verbal fight with the bartender that the cook came out from the kitchen to break up?! We expressed our the frustration with the owner after 2 hours when they brought our food and told us they were out of fries!! He did not care!! He strutted around with his ice cold drink and standing in front of the fans! The karaoke music was so loud we couldn't even hear ourselves think, maybe that was their intention, turn the music up so loud, the other patrons can't hear you complain! The only positive reviews you see on here must be from the owners and staff! When you eat here and leave mad, don't forget you read this!! :)

It's just not worth it! The service is terribly slow. The menu states all the food is made fresh to order, yet this is crazy. It doesn't take an hour to fry some oysters and french fries. The upkeep of the restaurant shows a real lack of care. Either the management here doesn't care, or they do not know what they're doing. I gave two stars because of the great view of the lake. Have a beer, but eat elsewhere.

One star is too much!!! Worst place I've ever been!!They were out of everything we wanted. Literally everything. And the food we did get was terrible. My burger tasted like a piece of fish. And well as the fries. We were there for a birthday and we were a group of about 7 and no one ate all of their food. And then they wouldn't even do a substitution for my daughters meal even tho they were out of what she originally wanted. We couldn't because it was so disgusting. And it made everyone feel sick. And on top of that there was two big dogs there. I have nothing against pets but one dog kept shaking right next to our table. We had to switch tables. The best thing about this place was the live Dj and our nice waitress. I will never come here again. Waste of over 100 bucks.

So I've seen alot of bad reviews on here but I love the lake and stay at the camp grounds by the restaurant. Since June 1st I've ate here 4 times! I just drive my golf cart up to it. It's great. I have never had to wait to get a drink, order, refills, or food. Maybe I'm lucky or have realistic expectations. Cocktails are strong but small. The shrimp and grits is by far my favorite dish. Only once did they not have oysters because they weren't shucked yet. Wouldn't mind music being not as loud until later. Overall I'll be going thru out our month long stay and future stays

The wait for our food was extremely long. She had a burger I had the shrimp basket. Overall, the food was good. There was some sort of snafu with their computer/register and paying our bill took about twenty-five minutes. Our server was the barmaid and she told us up front that they were short staffed.

They were out of everything we wanted to order. Oysters fixed any way. Chowder. Veg of the day. 3 quests ordered burgers the rarest they were aloud to cook. Came burnt black. Cabbage was sent out for the broccoli and it was ice cold. When the bill came drinks were charged for 4 instead of 2. I don't think our friends will ever go back. We don't live in the area but will not go back either.
