Buffet King

this is my first time dining here. I believe it is the obit Chinese buffet restaurants in the entire area or city. I am not from this area or city. we were passing through from a long road trip to New Mexico and decided to stop to eat dinner and stretch our legs. I'm from a big city so am spoiled by many big buffets. this place was small as in they have a small selection of food and food wasn't all that great or fresh either.

Great Food, and clean buffet lines. They were very fast at cleaning tables and refilling drinks. The food was at hot temperatures and the sushi, and desert bars were at the nice cold temperatures. The restaurant was busy, but the friendly staff maintained the cleanliness. My only complaint was their prices for their dinner and etc increased and there was no postings anywhere. So for those of you looking for prices for Adults: $13.56 an adult and 10% off senior citizens of 60+ age.

Varied selection, salad bar is nice does have kimchi, which can be hit or miss, oysters in half shell shrimp very nice, and salad vegetables are good. They do a curry chicken golden yellow sauce is delicious serve it over rice, use a soup bowl to capture all the goodness. Standard fare is comparable to other places in Abilene, there ribs can be nice. They do very well with their chicken or beef and broccoli and their mushrooms. The jalapeno poppers are nice but someone's are over done. Dumplings are great as well as the chicken on stick, flavorful and delicious. Soups are plentiful and egg drop or hot and sour and good, but can be hit or miss. They do a small American fare pizza, fried fish and potatoes seem well if you need to pause the Asian tasting menu. Overall with a visit. There is also a hit grill to build your own bowls as well. It could stand more use but I believe Abilene had a Genghis grill that didn't last so this probably isn't understood well. If you're not Chinese food person this can be great alternative to create a dish you can enjoy, or of you are okay with sauces spices and flavors and enjoy. Clean, attentive staff very nice place to buffet, enjoy.
