Tried my very first time hot pot in this Restaurant.stuff were very helpful and patiently explained to us how Hot Pot works. Food was amazing. Theye have different variety of sauce and all off stuff very helpful and have us the best combination of sauce definitely coming back............

It maybe scorching hot in Dubai but my Chinense friend and I still decided to try out this Chinese place for hot pot. And we were not disappointed, the ambience is good and staff were friendly and attentive. We took the combo for two which has half spicy and non-spicy soup. Meat, shrimp, tofu, fish balls, veggies and noodles were very tasty.

Same quality hot pot ingredients as the JBR branch. This branch is more spacious and has more nearby parking. Service is also very good here. Pictures attached in the review are combo #3 with extra side of noodles and drinks. Superb value for 2-3 people. Highly recommend.

Xiao Wei Yang is an authentic Chinese / Mongolian hotpot franchise with four branches scattered across Dubai, this most recent one in Barsha-1 included. The interiors are much the same; simple, for the most part clean, and in typical Chinese style, with common dining area in the middle and private dining rooms on the sides.

Great spot if you’re craving “shabu-shabu”. Given the appearance of the resto and the quality of the food, this is The Real McCoy. The server cranks up the heat on your ceramic burner to bring the broth to a boil and you’re off to cooking your own food. Fun place to go with a group of friends. My only qualm is that the sauce bar in the open air, so not sure how hygienic that is. <br/><br/>We went with the Mongolian-style Hotpot #2 combo. It comes with a healthy selection of leafy vegetables, beef, prawns, tofu, fish balls, crab dumplings, potato noodles, rice vermicelli noodles, and wood ear mushrooms — all for 128 AED. 4-5 could eat well with this meal, so its a fantastic value given the quality of the food.<br/><br/>The secret is choosing your blending sauce wisely. We made a paste of leek flower, garlic, mushroom sauce, oyster sauce, beef chili sauce and spring onions. Then broth was everything! ❤️I wanted to just drink in cupfuls. 🙂 The meat is cut really thin so that it cooks quickly. We also ordered a side of their house made carrot and spinach noodles to satisfy our carb cravings. <br/><br/>Overall, a very pleasant and user-friendly experience. 👍🏼

The original hot pot in a clean and open restaurant. Ventilation is great, one heat element at each table, and friendly staff make this a must visit for first-timers and veterans of hot pot alike.<br/><br/>Though not an all you can eat concept, prices were still reasonable. Our bill split into three came out roughly to be under 100dhs.<br/><br/>Highly recommend their beautifully thinly sliced beef and potato noodles. Sit back, take you time, ans enjoy all the food!

Perfectly located, this little joint is very popular with the Asians. Their food is great and flavorful. The fun in cooking your own meal is something else. Recommend going in a group, it's an experience.

Been here couple of times, the hot pot soup was not as good as the baniyas branch in deira which is still my favourite. This one lack of flavour despite having very strong of monosodium glutamate to it, that strong literally some people got dizzy/headache after eating here.

First visit last night. Was really looking forward to this one, food was good, no complaints on that. However, service was terrible! Being first time visitors we looked for guidance on the menu and the steps and so on. We were left to ourselves until we called for a server to ask for the menu, struggled to figure out how and what to order, again called for the server who had a language issue and did not understand English! Finally we ordered our dish. Once our hot pot arrived, they didn't give us bowls, soup spoons, ladle etc. Almost at the end of our dinner we saw that others had all of it and here we had been struggling with forks, normal spoons and plates, bowls would have been ideal to have the soupy noodles broth and the meat. Not once did the staff come back during our meal to check if everything was ok and if we needed something. The Chinese staff didn't know much English so inspite of us telling them about the service they didn't understand. Overall experience was just okay. Will not go back in the near future due to this service attitude.

This was the first time I have tried Mongolian style hotpot. Quite different from the one we have in Taiwan but still a nice one. Not only the food itself is amazing, the staffs are friendly and the dining environment is cozy. I'm not a hotpot lover, but Xiao Wei Yang is a place I would definitely like to visit again and again.

I love the ambience here. I am definitely a hot pot guy. When I left Taiwan I thought I would never find a decent place to enjoy hot pot. But I was wrong. Xiao Wei yang just nailed it. Foods are so delicious, staffs are nice. I will absolutely visit again.

Went there a few weeks ago with a friend and her family for a late dinner. Was very much impressed with the place - spacious, loads of Oriental decors, friendly and attentive staff, price a little bit on the pricey side but worth it for the portions. <br/><br/>Would highly suggest to go with a large group of people rather than a small group to actually have a great experience eating hotpot.<br/><br/>Would have been better if they had a private room for group diners or a divider between the large round tables as you may be seated next to other customers who can be extremely loud and disturbing.<br/><br/>Definitely recommending this place to others and will come back here again!

Went there because recommended by a friend however I did not really like the taste. Maybe I had high expectations from it. We ordered the half while half spicy soup but the spicy soup was too spicy for me. I usually like spicy food but this was too spicy and oily at the same time. I didn't like to see a big layer of oil on top of the soup. Plus it was a big mess to put the soup in the small bowls.

Was excited to try this since I've heard so much about it. It did not disappoint. Service was fast. But in all fairness we were the only ones there. They should have a more "HOW to" approach. We ordered the half and half Mongolian & hot & spicy broth. Very good. Added some seafood & noodles. Wasn't a big fan of the Mongolian beef. Good quantity, reasonably priced and fun for a long lunch.

First time we try this type of Chinese food, we asked the waitress for help and he is so helpful. We ordered combo number 2 as it include many verities. The waitress helped us in preparing the spicy sauce and it is yumi. Very good experience and everyone of my family liked the restaurant.<br/>It is worth mentioning that prices are very reasonable and it is value for money. At the end the restaurant gave us discount voucher for future visits as a gift. I love this place

Tried my hot pot for the first time and wasnt actually that bad as i thought. I like the way they present the whole thingy and then you get to prepare your food based on your preference. I need to try out more hot pot joints to rate this place

I usually dislike hot pot cause the same old taste bores me and I miss my bread / rice carb fillers!<br/>This time on Xmas eve as the stereotype goes we went for a Chinese meal, husband brother in law and myself. <br/>We ordered the spicy hot pot and got our own choice of veggies meats and noodles. <br/>Platter of lamb and chicken,<br/>Platter of mixed seafood and meatballs,<br/>Shitake mushrooms, fresh eggs and homemade noodles. <br/>For once I enjoyed my hot pot and would love to go back, maybe in 6 months though. <br/>We did order some fish and prawn balls with scallion pancakes on the side for my carb cravings so I left a very happy girl. <br/>

One of the decent places to have the hot pot. The quality of meat is fine and the authenticity of the food is above average. One doesn't quite hit the spot with good hot pots in the UAE. I have had the experience of eating authentic and rustic hot pots in china in a typical Hunan and Sichuan restaurant. Ohhhh that feeling.

I like it! Make sure to get a bowl of a condiments. I highly recommend going for the twin flavours so you can try more than one. It is worth it.

This was a good experience, there are waiters who do speak english and help you if you requires assistance. We liked the the fishballs and the crabsticks a lot!! We ordered the hotpot for 2 and got a little of everything. The soup broth was not great but it was good.<br/>Then we ordered this dish called ba si di gua, which is basically candied sweet potato. Its not on the menu. <br/>In the end you get some watermelon on the house to cool down after the hotpot. <br/>

Located on Al Barsha Road bang opposite the GEMS Dubai American Academy, Xiao Wei Yang Hotpot seems like its almost meant for the Chinese tourist buses; authentic food, no parking in front, large dining hall, and the aroma of authentic Chinese food the moment you enter. We ordered the Tripe in Soya and a Chicken Fried Rice as we were in a hurry and didn't get a chance to try their Hot Pot. Service was quick and efficient, waiters wore a hygienic transparent mask over the face and seemed rather surprised when we asked for chopsticks and ate our entire rice-staple meal with chopsticks. Overall quite filling, and reasonable value for money although the pictures on the menu card can look deceiving. Looking forward to trying their Hot Pot next. <br/><br/>Please note; this is an authentic Chinese restaurant, not Indo-Chinese so if you're looking for spicy Schezwan dishes, any type of Chop Suey and Manchurian balls; look elsewhere.

The whole place was like a hot pot, horrible air-conditioning, there are like 4 tiny air-coolers for the entire restaurant and they just keep it turned to some tables, we didn't get any cooling at all, the staff are unaware of whatever happening there, asking them anything was like asking trespassers, we asked about the options because we were at this place for the first time and the staff just shrugged indicating they don't know anything, and this is for the first time I'm seeing 5 aed per condiment, what's up with that!!

This place is awesome. Amazing food, especially their hot pots! Try the twin hot pot with Lamb, chicken & Cod. A lot of veggie options as well. The only thing they can improve is the airconditioning & their service. A must try!!!!!!

Ultimate rip off! If you want to pay AED 45 for 4 pcs of bok choi, 4 pcs of lettuce and 4 pcs. of kangkong then yeah, go to this place. The staff are confused, clumsy and most of the time nowhere to be found. Oh, and what's the deal about 5 aed per condiment?!

If you are familiar to the area of Barsha, this restaurant is on the way to the Mall of Emirates. The menu is quite similar to the other hot pot restaurants in the city. In case you are not familiar with the concept and if you are into Chinese food, you should definitely give it a try! You have basic pot option to choose from: Spicy or Non-spicy or a mix of both and you can choose the ingredients you would like to eat. If you are having a difficulty choosing the ingredients, you could choose from the set-meal options. A set meal can feed up to four people. What I also like about the experience is you get to cook the food yourself. Therefore, you can cater it to your satisfaction. There are other hot food options if you want to give something else a try. Overall, it was a decent experience and great for an average meal. For a Chinese food enthusiast, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Fret not because it is far away, there are other branches all over the city.

Disclaimer: It's not for everyone - I loved it but some of my Arab friends found the food too overwhelming with the different spices. So if spices, broth, chili/oyster/peanut sauces are your thing, then this is the place for you. I personally grew up with and love Spicy Asian food. <br/>Food, service, and restaurant ambiance were great. The manager (Jacquain, I think) is very sweet and understanding. The only things that marred the experience was 1) the AC wasn't working properly, and 2) they don't accept cards and the nearest ATM was either Lulu hyper market or Citymax hotel. The manager ensured that they would fix these problems, and I hope so, because I plan on coming more often now that it's open in my neighborhood.
