The food arrived 40mins later than promised, 90 mins after we ordered. I'm sorry but the Dum Aloo is not really a Dum Aloo, its just potato pieces cooked in gravy. The Paneer Tikka was so dry not even the chutney could save it. The naans and Hara Bara Kofta was nice, but all in all not a memorable meal...

Pathetic and worse food of my life. Seems like they don’t have proper chefs during this period. They couldn’t make mint sauce properly so I don’t want to mention how bad and poor the food items were. My brother who don’t know the A of cooking can make better biryani. If you can’t deliver quality food then better shut down.

Ordered food after 2 months and the food was disgusting.... seems like the chef has been fired and either the owner who has no idea how to cook or the security guard is cooking d food.... worse food ever ... chicken curry was half cooked.... biryani was more like jeera rice and tandoori chicken was worse of them all.... bad bad bad

The Biryani was spicy and flavorful. We usually order rotis but here we ordered nan, it took so much effort to eat it which I don't think is hotels fault ,maida products are usually like that. The mix veg paratha was soft and delicious. The paneer curry was good but the egg curry seemed a little stale. But since none of us had any issues the next day I will give it a chance of doubt and think it was the tomato sourness taste in the curry which gave that stale feeling. The lahori chicken was soft and juicy.

Careem delivered food 8n 90 mins. As per Careem Owais restaurant gave late<br/>Abhay/Uday from restaurant spoke in his UP wala tone and was putting blame of delay to careem. <br/>Look the way he brought food. Soy sauce in Indian food and whole food is spoiled. Garlic chicken is with chicken and oil...no sauce , Noodles were raw <br/>Every weekend I order and this time food is horrible. They spoiled whole experience and would not order again.<br/>

DONT ORDER THE DUM ALOO. Its raw pieces of potato mixed with a simple tomato gravy. It was not what you would expect from a usual Dum Aloo containing stuffed potato pieces in a sweet gravy. The paneer tomato was very bland as well with no extraordinary flavour to it. Veg platter and the breads were fine and soft but lacked taste. Will probably not order from here again.

Tried for the first time and trust me the choice which I made was certainly the best. Typical Homestyle mutton curry with reasonable portion. Only painful part was that this place is expensive for the portion they serve. Otherwise I think, we might try more of their delicacies provided the cost pays justice. I’ve ordered from this place for quite a while but, a few months ago they closed down for awhile, then reopened. Not been the same since and presumably there’s been a management change or something. Anyway, tonight I ordered, one of the items wasn’t available so I got a call. Very challenging to understand the guy on the phone which, ok not a big deal and I get it. But, just the way that they approached it was all off...like it was my fault I didn’t want to accept a replacement item of lower value. Ended up canceling the whole order.

Hi, <br/><br/>I am writing this review to send a message to @Chawlas2 management about the pathetic experience I had yesterday at dinner time.<br/><br/>@Chawlas2 in JLT - has been one of my favorite restaurants for ordering on @Zomato and dining-in. I keep ordering dinner every now and then with them. So in the same enthusiasm, we ordered food on @Zomato at 6:16pm.. Our order was : Full Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Masala, Garlic Naan and Tandoori Roti.<br/><br/>The @Zomato auto response mentioned that the order will be delivered by 7:16pm. However till 7:25pm the order remained undelivered and there was no information from @Chawlas2of the delays. So I called there landline number and asked the status of the delivery. The receiver just said, let me check, and put me on hold. I waited for 2 min and to my horror, he disconnected the phone without any further response to me. So neither I came to know If the delivery boy has already left nor I was told the reason for delay or when the boy will reach at my place to deliver. This was the most unprofessional, unethical and unwanted behavior from a restaurant towards their loyal customer.<br/><br/>My agony did not end there. Finally the delivery boy reached my place at 7:30pm and when we asked him the reason for delay, he was also unresponsive and just handed over the packet and ran away.<br/><br/>More agony was in the waiting - When we opened the packet and started to have the Tandoori Chicken - It was the worst ever Tandoori Chicken we have had from @Chawlas2. The marination was full of raw "Coriander Powder" and was not cooked well. We could smell and taste the corriander powder.<br/><br/>Moving on the Garlic Naan - It was cold, rubbery and my daughter had to literally take my help to break it for her. She could not chew it and unfortunately we left it without eating. It gives me an impression that the food was cooked but kept long for delivery boy to take.<br/><br/>We ate the balance two items (since we did not have a choice) and went to sleep.<br/><br/>Nonetheless; we can never forget this horrible experience and vow not to order from @Chawlas2 anymore. We recommend foodies to be careful of the reception they might get from their attendants, food you order and the delivery time they might take (despite claiming to be delivering within pone hr.).<br/><br/>Thanks<br/><br/>UMESH

AC not working in this weather, super hot inside and they take is very casually as if they don’t care<br/>2. highly understaffed - one person managing on thursday evening, despite asking to get whatever is ready..they took 25mins and got both the starter and main dish together<br/>3. Menu Items not available - we wanted to have prawns, but they said all the prawn dishes wont be available<br/>4. Main platter is not included in zomato gold which was weird<br/>5. Liked their chicken tikka

The taste is very bad. Will not order anymore would suggest not to try. Waste of money. We ordered paneer butter masala it was like just cooked roughly and sent mix with onion and tomato. Mutton biryani quality of rice is so cheap. No taste nothing. The bill came to 66 dirhams. This restaurant is cheating people and making money. Charging so high rate and quality is so cheap. Our order number on Zomato is 2055730992. I will complain to the quality department regarding this restaurant. People please stop eating and wasting money on this restaurant. I called the restaurant to complain they said it is closed now. Please investigate and we need our money back.

So we went there to have lunch today apparently didnt had lunch because of the arrogant staff , because of this guy who was on the cashier so we sat there i asked him what is good he recommended but he was in a hurry as if he wanted to go somewhere, then he said whenever you decide call me i called him i was giving order and while I was ordering he was leaving i said i didnt complete my order he said you guys are taking a lot of time to decide and I HAVE WORK !! (Like seriously???) and i told me if he is giving me the food for free seeing his carefree attitude and he started arguing . Apparently we left and while leaving i asked his name he said PATA NAI so i dont know about the food but the staff was pathetic i will never recommend this restaurant to any one of my close I WISH THERE WAS NEGATIVE RATING. And to add on the ac wasn’t working and the washroom was dirty n stinky !!

WE ORDERED ONE CREAM CHICKEN, PANEER LABABDAR, GARLIC NAAN & LACHA PARATHA. QUICK SERVICE...PANEER LABABDAR CAME TO ME AS SURPRISE IN WHITE GRAVY CREAMY, I WAS EXPECTING IT SPICY AS IN OTHER RESTAURANTS BUT IT WAS SO CREAMY, TASTES DIFFERENT BUT GOOD. CRUNCHY NAAN & LACHA PARATHA. CREAM CHICKEN WAS TOO GOOD.

This is our go-to place whenever we are craving for good north Indian style food. 5 star for Food especially Chicken Rara and Peshawari Chicken tikka. We also like their Paneer tikka. The spices are perfectly balanced and it tastes really good. Prices are also reasonable so, definitely worth a try for the food!!<br/>Ambience- 2.5/5. Need a bit of improvement in the ambience. There was some weird odour during our last visit.

Haven't been to this place, but made an order from them. Just a reshmi kebab with nan combo. Thought, would turn out the same stuff from other places around the area, but to my surprise It wasn't. The Kebab and Nan combo tasted similar to the dhabas spread across delhi-chandigarh highway(ppl from punjab can correlate). The taste was nice and the nan was soft too(unlike the ones i tried from other places). The kebab wasn't as soft as it should be, but it tasted nice.<br/><br/>Worth a revisit to this place. Let's hope they live upto the expectation across all their menu items ;)

Went for a Ramadan Iftar Buffet with Friends.<br/>Good Quality of food. <br/>Iftar was priced at 30/- per head. <br/>The Chicken Rara was absolutely amazing. It had the spice to it that really went well with Naan. <br/>Butter Chicken and the Chicken Biryani was okay, good but not the best. <br/>Malai Kebab and Tikka were flavorful and yum!<br/><br/>Service was good, they kept filling the containers as soon as it got over. <br/>Thank you for the good experience. ☺️😄

Placed an order at 9.55pm. Delivery time given was 10.55pm. Even by 11.05pm no sign of the food. Followed up with Zomato. Was told food will be delivered within 15-20mins. Waiting.......By 12.15am still no sign of the food. Impatient now.....Followed up with Zomato again. Zomato tells.... only "a few more minutes". By 12.20 as well food hasn't arrived. Doesn't even specify what time the food will be delivered. No one bothers to update me about the delay from Chawlas. I asked to cancel the order. Zomato immediately cancelled the order. Not even a note of apology or call for making the customer wait neither from Chawlas nor Zomato. Clearly no one bothers and they wanted me to cancel the order on purpose. Their food might be good. But definitely not worth 2 and a half hours wait....

Zomato asks you to be polite when you review. This is me being polite when I say that I will never be ordering from this place ever again. It's not that I don't like the food but I've been burnt too many times with their inability to deliver the food on time. I hope they get their act together coz I've been a fan of chawlas in my hometown.

We ordered starters, veg platter along with roti n so called wheat rumali roti.<br/><br/>Wheat rumali roti is maida.<br/>Veg platter starter is horrible....it was too salty and portion was not good at all. For that cost they gave 2 pcs of paneer. Veg kebabs are something you must never order from here.

Visited Chawlas2 many times for their famous business lunch, probably one of the best in the area. The food could easily pass for food in a 5 star restaurant, really delicious 😋 and prepared to perfection👌<br/><br/>They have a different set daily dish business lunch every day of the week, all amazing 😉 <br/><br/>Staff are friendly and very welcoming, ambiance is a little dry but the food more than makes up for it.<br/><br/>Highly recommended for hungry lunchers👌<br/><br/>

Last day we ordered dinner from Chawlas. Took 50 min for the delivery. We had Chicken tandoori, Mutton Kali Mirch,Plain Naan and Chicken Biriyani. For the first time we received the starter Chicken tandoori without ‘Mint Chutney’ and Chicken Biriyani without ‘Raita’ from an Indian restaurant. Food is average and not worth to the price.

This is our Goto place for authentic Punjabi food. <br/>The staff is quite friendly and always smiling.<br/><br/>We have tried a lot of dishes here in veg and chicken. And have tried their fish starter many times.<br/><br/>If your looking for food without colors (even their tikka is without the red color which you find in other places) and good taste then should give it a try.<br/><br/>

Good fresh food. The taste is very authentic. Went there initially for their cream chicken but most of their mains and tandoori stuff are good( Paneer /Chicken). Not a big fan of their rice items and deserts. The service is good and staff is friendly but they could improve on the seating. I would have liked them to continue their Gold option which seems to have gone after they reopened.

Chawla's 2 is an ideal place to have authentic Punjabi food.<br/>I have mostly ordered food from here, especially Veg Punjabi Thali. Their gravy-based dishes have a distinct taste; I personally feel they use freshly ground masalas (spices) which I love!<br/><br/>The portions are adequate and the packaging is fine as well. <br/><br/>Must Haves: Dal Makhani, Paneer Dhaniya Adraki, Channa Masala

Nice place to have some authentic Punjabi cuisine. <br/>Interiors are also very different. <br/>We had ordered chicken kabab platter, masala bhindi, Chicken Rara & rotis.<br/>Chicken rara was something intresting that I ate.<br/>Kabab were also perfectly done.<br/><br/>One quick input , the sitting is not comfertable. Only if they had few extra inches on the seat length! <br/>But overall nice experience . <br/>

Absolutely horrible service from this place. placed an order from their online booking service.. at 10pm. already paid for.. its 11.40 pm now and no response from the restaurant and they dont even have the decency to answer my calls on the mobile number listed instead they rejecting it. is this the kind of service that you cant even call a customer to inform them that you will not be delivering their order. instead am sat here 2 hours later with no dinner.  i want an immediate refund of the amount paid

The restaurant is average by Dubai standards in the way its located and laid out, small place to eat and service and food qaulity is average. We ordered:<br/>Paneer Tomato<br/>Tandoori Mutton chaap<br/>Dal tadka<br/>Garlic naan<br/><br/>The restaurant mainly caters to deliveries and food is to Indian taste, food was spicy and oily.

Dine here during lunch,. Actually we want to order and try their business lunch, but duhh! the waiter told us that the business lunch is only available online order via zomato app. Why? Why like that? They should served business lunch even if dine in! what is the difference? Anyway we had butter chicken and it is a meh.. the only reason I gave a 3 star is for their generousity on giving unlimited pappadam.. 😂

A well rounded trip to Punjab and back. The only joint with authentic Punjabi cuisine I have tried so far. The tandoori prawns were grilled perfectly. The marinade on the prawns were the right amount and it was even throughout so the flavours were wonderful with each bite.<br/><br/>The sweet lassi i ordered here was a bit too thick for my liking but the flavours of the lassi itself was delicious.

It was thick, creamy and just the perfect drink to wash down the tasteful food with. 2. Fresh Lime Soda [AED 12]: Another refreshing drink that will bring back memories of India where it is quite famous and served in all kinds of places from small to big restaurants. 3. Non-Veg Platter: We had Mr. Arvinder decide the best dishes that we would not have tried elsewhere. We were definitely impressed with what was served to us. Fish Tikka [AED 45]: Succulent pieces of grilled kingfish that goes perfectly well with the mint chutney if you want to up your spice level and have something on the spicier side. All the seafood fans, this is a must try! Chicken Peshawari Tikka [AED 35]: Juicy bites of creamy chicken that is prepared in a clay oven. We loved how the chicken managed to stay warm even after a long haul of photographs and just disappeared within minutes. So you know now which starter is not to be missed on the menu. Tangri Kebab [AED 34]: Drumsticks with stuffing of dry fruits and minced meat. We were wowed with this creation as we have never come across such a combination of stuffing! The nuts and the meat complemented each other. Another dish we recommend trying. 4. Tandoori Mutton Bara [AED 41]: Crispy lamb chops with tangy barbecue flavored crust. Every bite comes with a juicy slice of meat that just bursts out with flavors and takes you to another world altogether. 5. Cream Chicken [AED 37]: The signature dish which created a place in everyone’s heart. The chicken is cooked in cream and milk with a combination of spices invented by the family. It was as the name suggests really creamy, rich and not spicy at all. It definitely deserves all the praise it has received so far. 6. Mutton Rara [AED 44]: All the meat fans this one here is for you all to devour on because we definitely LOVED it! Luscious pieces of mutton along with minced meat dunked in a thick gravy. 7. Lacha Paratha [AED 6] & Butter Naan [AED 5]: To wipe off these yummy mains we got some hot, fluffy breads which were the right choices, though we preferred the butter naan over the paratha for being more soft! The best part with their mains that you will not find anywhere else is NO food coloring and excessive oil that which is the sad case with most of the outlets serving Indian food in Dubai. Here you will be licking your hands off with the amazing taste because they are FINGER LICKIN GOOD! 8. Gulab Jamun [AED 15]: Its not the end if you do not complete your meal with something sweet. So we decided to try the gulab jamun and oh boy were we right to do so! We were served two HOT pieces of soft jamuns with the perfect amount of sweetness that you can go on eating without any guilt! Service: Kudos to Mr. Arvinder and team for providing us with the top notch service. All the servers were friendly and had a smile on their faces throughout the time. Cash Outflow: For the generous quantity and top quality dishes being served the price is definitely justified! Circling Back: We are definitely up for another round of divine desi food! Chicken Peshawari Tikka – good dish but nothing extra ordinary Mains: Cream Chicken – Their signature dish which has its secret mix of spices specially flown in from Punjab Chicken Rara, Mutton Kaali Mirch, Paneer Dhaniya Adraki – Gravies are extremely flavorful Channa Masala – BEST CHHOLE I’VE HAD IN A WHILE. Would have been perfectly paired with Bhaturas but they have some really good Kulchas to pair it with. Daal Makhni – while this Daal makhni was better than the dishes I’ve had elsewhere, people who are calorie conscious need to be careful since they go a tad bit overboard with the butter Desserts: Moong Daal Halwa – Loved this but again a little overboard because it’s greasy. Gulab Jamun – Not overly sweet and perfectly balanced. Overall Verdict: Great place to dine with family, interiors are simple and homely and the staff are really friendly. For the mains we decided to order the hara-bhara kofta curry, butter chicken and on a suggestion the chicken dhaniya adraki which was the least spicy along with an assortment of breads. While the food was being prepared we were told that their trained cooks have been flown directly from the Ludhiana branch in India so as to maintain the quality and flavor of the food matching to Indian standards. Impressive! The food arrived soon and again we were in admiration of the huge quantity and it was told that punjabis love their food and have no qualms about having a big portion to the satisfaction and hence the quantity. The kofta curry was something so different but delicious. It's not easy to make a spinach gravy taste good but these guys nailed it. And as for the chicken curries it was aced in terms of flavor for us! The butter chicken was mild and creamy while the adraki chicken was again creamy but had some nice notes of ginger and coriander to compliment it! Extremely stuffed but we still wanted to try something sweet so we ordered one portion of the rice kheer for the table and as expected it was divine! Not too sweet but just enough.
