Visited this place with family for friday brunch.<br/><br/>Spread was nice and had covered options for vegetarian and non vegetarian set of people.<br/><br/>We tried following-<br/>1. Tomato soup- very creamy and rich in taste.<br/><br/>2. Salad- good spread with hummus, quboos and wide variety of salads including prawn salad.<br/><br/>3. Starters- they had multiple options of bruschetta with veggies and paneer. Very well done.<br/><br/>4. Mains- chicken, beef, fish, veggie, potato- well done and very good in taste.<br/><br/>5. Juice- they have fresh juice counter with orange and watermelon options.<br/><br/>Nice cosy ambiance for a lazy weekend brunch. Do try out this place.<br/>

Out of the three dishes we ordered, the avocado toast was the only one worthy of reordering. The Breakfast flat bread and Free range Poached eggs were strictly average. Free range Poached eggs were a little too salty due to the presence of Halloumi, pesto and zatar all together.<br/>I liked the ambience, it's high ceiling and bright and sunny. What we expected to be a corporate breakfast place was actually a very very laid back cafe. Service was definitely on the slower side.

A quick breakfast next to the office. Parking is easily available and ambience quite comfortable.<br/><br/>For 90 Dhs you also have an option for the buffet which isn't a bad deal if you have the stomach to eat heavy. It might also be the fastest option.<br/><br/>Ala carte menu is the way I went. Reading reviews on their Avo Toast I decided to order it with a medium poached egg.<br/><br/>The portion is huge but delicious. Perfectly done egg, though the Avocado has no salt or pepper, add spices and condiments at will.<br/><br/>The double espresso wasn't the best tasting but nevertheless overall a good accompaniment.<br/><br/>With EmiratesNBD discount paid 52Dhs which for the portion wasn't too bad. I made a suggestion to the chef to serve a half portion at half price.<br/><br/>Will be back soon<br/><br/>

Iftar overview: we loved this stylish quite place! I have decided to celebrate my birthday to Skye & walker to try their Filipino themed Buffet with my family, the ambiance is really cozy and relaxing, the staff were not so entertaining, the food is limited, the only filipino food is pinakbet (not to mention overcooked veggies) the rest are not so filipino. Dont be deceived with their live cooking its not real, 110 AED buffet is not worth it.<br/>Definitely not coming back 😫😫😫

So my friend suggested this place as it is really popular in the usa. <br/>We took avocado 🥑 salad with tomatoes🍅, which were difficult to chew, same as dessert.<br/>Biriani was normal, nothing great, what about sandwich I didn’t like it as well. + mocktail and some lemonade.<br/>❗️really overpriced❗️ for what they are offering.. <br/>we paid 450 aed and hardly ate anything. <br/>It looks nice both the atmosphere, design and they food itself... but taste👎🏽 wouldn’t go there once again❌

Would I call it a visit to Skye & Walker, or a peek at avocado heaven, I’m not sure yet. But the Avocado Art Obsession at this Instagram-worthy cafe is alive and real. After hearing and seeing lots about this cafe on social channels, we finally decided to make our Saturday morning worthwhile and set off to Marriot Executive Apartments Dubai Creek, where this cafe is located.

Skye and Walker is a sustainable eatery for globetrotters and savvy foodies in Dubai. It is located at the Marriott Executive Apartments in Deira. They pride themselves on being one of the few restaurants to incorporate the sustainable concept not just with the food but also in the operation of the eatery.

I’ve lived in the UAE for over a decade now, and in my time here I have made quite a few Filipino friends. Despite the large population of ‘Kabayan’ in our city, there seems to be a dearth of restaurants that serve up a good, authentic Filipino meal. The last time I dined Filipino was at Little Manila, and I still rave about their Boodle Fight!

I had seen quite a few ads and as a avocado lover I decided to give it a try even though it was a bit far from the areas where I like to go for breakfast on weekends. It is actually located in a hotel/ apartment Deira which is an area I like but mostly for its old restaurants and tiny streets. The décor is very nice, nothing super new or original but in the complex it is nice. I didn’t really understand the Arabic corner with low cushions and table though. I t has a nice terrace that could be great for winter time. They have breakfast set menu for around 70 aed if I'm not mistaken but we decided to go a la carte. I ordered a single espresso macchiato that came served in a lovely cup in a rustic green ceramic. It comes with a little cookie which was also nice. We ordered The avocado toast and added the option poached egg ( it is one only , but you can request an extra one if you want) was really amazing. It is really a big portion and very well presented with rocca, chili flakes tomato and feta. It comes also with curry spices but i just asked to remove them. It was perfect I would say and most importantly, very fresh too. The staff is very kind and sweet. Overall a very nice discovery

Visited Skye&Walker during the month of December which means during the festive season where we(a group of friends) were asked to bring in the Christmas spirit and perform Christmas carols for a couple of days. We were asked to perform some days during the week and the staff were so welcoming . When it came to the food, there was ample of food . Starting from ample of dishes which were laid on the table. From four different kinds of pizzas, to some cheese samosas and some chicken fillet fingers and various kinds of sauces to suit your taste bud. On another day there were two different kinds of sandwiches served, with some hot chicken spring rolls and samosas along with mineral water and fresh orange juice served . The best of all was of course the Christmas eve dinner . The most awaited TURKEY. Wow.. my mouth still waters when I think of that amazing turkey. The table was just filled with all different kinds of food. Starting with soup to different kinds of salads and then the amazing turkey,alongside the stuffing and then going to the varieties they had in seafood , such as Tiger Prawns, Squids, Calamari and side dishes served like Fries, Garlic Paste, Hummus. The amount of vegetables one could choose from. Starting from broccoli to Potatoes made in different ways to carrots and crisp eggplant. Crispy bacon served with Grilled Chicken and then to end it with the type of bread you prefer. Of course not to forget the most awaited part of the course - "THE DESSERT" -Delicious chocolate cake. Dark, rich chocolate which was not so gooey, just melts in your mouth with macaroons served around was definitely something to die for.<br/><br/>The whole experience was fantastic!

Visited this place for iftar , the place was crowded which was quiet surprising , they had a Iftar buffet . Good range of salads , hot Mezza and cold Mezza all these were good . Maincourse I had the spinach chicken which was good enough . Juices were also pretty decent . For the desserts I had the Lebanese sweets , fresh fruits and chocolate pastries . Staff people were welcoming and friendly . Ambience wise the place was good too .

We recently re-visited Skye & Walker for their Iftar buffet. <br/>Keeping with a theme of Middle Eastern cuisine with some modern flair, Skye & Walker are hosting an Iftar for the Holy month of Ramadan that includes Arabic dishes and sweets and classic beverages, all with a healthier preparation that doesn’t compromise on flavour. From all the Iftars in Dubai, this is one of the more healthy options for sure.<br/><br/>The food: Great buffet of delicious dishes on display. The day we visited the buffet had a bit of a Middle Eastern theme with a some modern Asian dishes as well. It consisted of a soup and various salads. The mains had a bit of everything, Kuwaiti Murabien, a saffron rice with shrimp and a tomato gravy on the side, lamb chops on a bed of polenta with a blue cheese sauce, chicken with spinach and baby corn and creamy dory with Thai dressing with a chili potato coating along with garden vegetables and baked potatoes. Also part of the buffet were some popular fried items such as kibbeh, vegetable spring rolls and falafel.<br/><br/>The desserts: There was a variety of fruits to start you off. For your sweet tooth they had chocolate mousse cake, chocolate covered mamoul, baklava, seedless dates, basboussa, legemat and mamoul.<br/><br/>The drinks: The tables all had a large bottle of water. There were juices as well including the popular ones that are had during this time; Amar Al Din and Tamer Hindi. They were perfectly sweet and delicious. Also available was laban and cocktail juice.<br/><br/>Our Previous visit at Skye & Walker was for a late Friday breakfast, here is what we thought:<br/>Skye & Walker defines itself to be a sustainable neighborhood eatery with delicious yet nutritious dishes on their menu. And they sure stay true to it.<br/><br/>The Food<br/>2 Free Range Poached Eggs: Grilled halloumi, roasted tomatoes, zaatar pesto and toasted bread with zaatar on the side. The halloumi was cooked well and had a nice browning to it and wasn’t overly rubbery in texture, the eggs were poached well and the avatar pesto brought the dish together. It was a well thought out take on a Middle Eastern poached eggs breakfast dish. <br/>Buttermilk Pancakes: Whipped cream, butter, maple syrup and fresh blueberries. Soft, buttery pancakes with fresh blueberries: it’s become a popular breakfast option in Dubai and they prepare it well. The pancakes were well made and fluffy and presented well with blueberries around the side and sprinkled with icing sugar. We would have like some blueberries in the pancakes themselves though.<br/>Baked Sweet Potato Gnocchi Casserole: Tomato sauce, organic minced beef, basil, fresh mozzarella and a toasted baguette with garlic. A great flavourful, hearty dish and a generous portion too. Even though sweet potato was used instead of everyone’s favourite starchy root vegetable; it accompanied this Italian style dish well. <br/><br/>The Drinks<br/>Cappuccino: Great cup of coffee, strong, medium bodied and presented well. <br/>Latte: Again, a good coffee option. Presented in a traditional tall glass mug. <br/><br/>Service<br/>Skye & Walker was quite empty at the time that we visited, there were just about 2 or 3 other people around. Thus the service was as you expect, attentive and quick. The food came relatively quick and the servers made us feel comfortable. They also spent time helping us choose what to order.<br/><br/>The Venue<br/>Skye & Walker is located on the ground floor of the Marriott Executive Apartments in Deira. The space itself is in tune with their sustainable concept with their furniture, flooring and interior decor all made from either recycled or natural materials. They have outdoor seating and a variety of styles from relaxed couch seating, café like table setup and even traditional arabic seating.<br/>You can enter the restaurant from outside the hotel and from the main lobby.<br/><br/>Our Verdict<br/>It’s a marvelous space with interesting menu options that are healthier but don’t skimp out on flavour and aren’t limited to just salads and smoothies. Great option for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Best breakfast I've had in Dubai so far and I go to a lot of breakfast places!<br/><br/>The avocado toast and poached egg is amazing. Also there pancakes are so delicious.<br/><br/>Their service and staff are also so nice and welcoming.<br/><br/>The only thing that could use improvement is their coffee.

If I would live nearby I would come here daily to try all their dishes...what a great, healthy and amazing palette of choices they have.<br/><br/>We only came for a quick coffee during lunch, but we had to wait long time to just get a waiters attention and getting a water and Latte served.<br/>The water was a special one: Infused Lemon Mint with Cucumber. It had all the ingredients as mentioned, but it is overpriced for a water with some flavor.<br/><br/>The decor of the place is nice, cosy and modern. A trendy place to be, in an area like Deira. <br/><br/>If I get a chance, I will try to come for lunch and hope the service is improved by then.

How was the food?<br/>There is a buffet available till 11 am if memory serves right. We went for ala carte. There are interesting items on the menu. Cappuccino was a morning must followed by scrambled eggs, buttermilk pancakes, ricotta toast and freshly baked butter biscuits. There are times when I want to go to a particular restaurant, but end up not going due to the distance. One such place was Skye & Walker. No, it is not a Star Wars themed restaurant. But certainly, it is as amazing as the Star Wars series. . Dubbed as the sustainable neighborhood eatery for globetrotters and savvy foodies in Dubai, it is right place for foodies who believe in healthy eating and have an eclectic taste.

Skye & Walker is all about indulging without the guilt. No, they do not just serve salads and the typical healthy food (that somehow never floats our boat), but they’ve managed to put a vegan, raw or gluten free twist to almost all their dishes helping you indulge without the guilt. About time, huh?Something so simple as the Kale Chips that are basically baked pieces of kale can taste so good and crunchy; and of course a better alternative than regular chips.The Slow Roasted Beet Salad with segmented orange, candied walnuts, feta, arugula, mint and balsamic dressing was packed with flavor. The beetroot was cooked perfectly soft, the creaminess and saltiness of the feta and the textural and sweet play with the candied walnuts was absolutely gratifying.The Lamb Kofta and Spinach Quinoa Salad with cherry tomatoes, pomegranate seeds, zaatar labneh and pomegranate vinaigrette was beautifully presented. If you love a good portion of meat with their salads, this one is definitely for you. Although the meet is not as succulent as we’d like, nevertheless it had flavors to salvage the dish.The Kale Caesar Salad was a hit at the table. It comprised of gluten free croutons, pomegranate seeds and shaved parmesan. The textural play and simplicity of flavors in this salad is what made the dish stand out from the rest.The Avocado Caprese with fresh mozzarella, marinated tomato, basil leaves, pesto, balsamic and olive oil was another very refreshing dish that ticked all the boxes for us. Mozzarella holds a special place in our hearts when it comes to some of the best cheeses we’ve had. We loved the rich and subtle flavors of this dish with the flavor of the pesto lightening things up.Once we were done with our round of salads, we were presented with enormous portions of mains, each looking absolutely scrumptious and appetizing.<br/><br/>– The S & W Zoodles which are basically zucchini noodles dressed with extra virgin olive oil and mixed with garlic, cherry tomatoes, onion, basil and shaved parmesan was an absolute delight. Loved the idea of ribboning vegetables to make them look like noodles. And the texture of the zucchini too was perfectly al dente. Definitely trying this dish again on our next visit.The Baked Sweet Potato and Gnocchi Casserole with tomato sauce, organic minced beef, basil and mozzarella was a definite hit at our table. By far the most scrumptious dish on the table, and luckily for us – healthy too.Another simple and effortlessly tasty dish was the herb crusted chicken breast with mushroom gravy and steamed broccoli. Nothing that wowed us in terms of flavor, but it definitely meets the mark when it comes to a super healthy dish.Apart from the mains, you can also enjoy the pizza which you can assemble on your own with your choice of sauce, veggies, cheese and protein. However, we feel the mains had a lot more character and uniqueness as compared to the pizzas that tasted pretty ordinary.Finally for dessert, we sampled a selected of ice creams; the date and chocolate ice cream being our favorite. We also had the Raw Carrot Cake that tasted unbelievably delicious and the Apple Crumble which was perfect and comforting for the cold weather. The flourless chocolate cake was dense and rich and had that delicious aftertaste of bitter chocolate. Finally, the Matcha Chia Pudding which is made with chia seeds tastes perfect as dessert or even better, for breakfast!

Very few places know how to make healthy and delicious food. Skye and Walker surprised me completely with amazing healthy and protein packed menu. Every detailing is done with puerfection to serve best on the table. The hard working team in the kitchen make sure to intact the nutrition with flavours.

Apart from being a café cum restaurant one interesting fact about the space is the use of recycled & eco friendly materials around. Skye and Walker is a surprising F&B addition to Deira, in the same way that a cell phone would be an extraordinary addition to the 1940’s. I realize that might come across as controversial, but let it be known that Deira is a magical place, and provides the cultural and historical backbone of this country. This is the birthplace of trade and commerce – nothing can stand next to Deira with quite the same level of authenticity and credibility.

When i entered this quirky little cafe serving all kinds of healthy food, I didn’t know what was waiting in store for me!. You would never believe if i told you that i found a place tucked in Marriott Executive Apartments and it serves AMAZING pancakes along with other amazing food!. When i first saw the menu of Skye & Walker and realized how protein packed and healthy almost everything on the menu was, I was glad i had skipped breakfast that morning. Their menu is quite non-traditional and serves a lot of dishes which you will not find around town. Their cheerful chef will gladly whip up alterations if you want and i tell you, he is good at what he does!

Went here to have their pancakes and waffles. Finally, a nice place where I can have delicious pancakes and waffles. Freshly made and oh so good. Had them less than a week ago and am now craving it again. Will definitely go ASAP<br/><br/>Update: my first time here was 15 days ago. My 2nd time was one day ago as I was craving their pancakes. This time however, we were served complimentary kale chips which we didn't get the first time. I'm not a fan of kale but their chips with the side seasonings were really nice that I polished it off fast. The pancakes came hot and fresh like last time, however the sides were a bit different. The first time, I received maple syrup, butter and whipped cream. This time around, I received the maple syrup but with coconut cream instead (unwhipped) and had to ask for the butter. No worries though as they were quick to provide the butter. Anyway, all in all, 'twas a good meal and will definitely come again when I'm craving their delicious pancakes.

Was very impressed with this place. Went for a late breakfast on saturday because I read about it a while back. Very nice decors, service was pleasant. Not too many people around, but it was an odd hour. We had the Salmon Avocado Toast, big portion and tasty and the Baked Egg Roll which was awesome. Not to mention that it's the first place that I saw it gives you 3 poached eggs (in the Baked Egg Roll) - definitely super impressed and they were cooked perfectly.  Definitely worth it and they provide super value for money.

I will start with the hospitality level which was seriously impressing. Vinesh welcomed me as if I am a regular customer and as if he was the owner of the place who really care to represent his business in the best way... ambiance of the restaurant is amazing and enjoyable.. While Iftar dishes are undeniably delicious—from starters and Arabic mezze to sumptuous mains and decadent desserts—there's also no denying that most of the yummy ones tend be the unhealthy ones too. But imagine if you can indulge into an Iftar feast minus the guilt...seems impossible, eh?. These Iftar staples are just part of the Iftar spread that Mark and I had last Friday night. Tucked in the ground floor of Marriot Executive Apartments in Dubai Creek in Deira is this chic and cozy place at the heart of Old Dubai—Skye & Walker.

Visited the restaurant on a Friday for lunch. The place was completed deserted, except for our table. We started off with Kale chips instead of the usual bread basket you receive at restaurants. The Kale was crunchy and you could garnish it with your choice of spices from what was offered. <br/><br/>Tried:<br/>*Avocado Toast with smoked salmon – presented beautifully on a cheese board, this was a simple yet flavourful choice. Crunchy grain toast paired with smashed avocado and chunks of smoked salmon. The ingredients all worked great together and the dill and lemon made the dish light and fresh.<br/>*Free range poached eggs – tried a bite of this. Enjoyed the poached eggs with the halloumi and tomatoes. It was a bit salty but then again that’s just the taste of halloumi. Lovely presentation once again!<br/><br/>The food wasn’t bad, especially for a Friday brunch but what the place really lacks is an ambience.

It's been quite a hectic number of weeks for me . To top it all I will be traveling to India again this week for my graduation . Did I mention I will be getting a medal !? Yes I am thrilled . . I am still keeping up my resolution of staying healthy this year . So this time I reviewed the magnificent Skye and Walker restaurant in Marriot Executive Hotel located in Deira .

If it wasn't for the poor service, my score would have probably been 3.3 or above. My friend and I were looking for dinner options that would help us stick to our streak of healthy eating without compromising on taste. She had already been to Skye & Walker so she suggested we go there. It's a very quiet place with decor that should make you feel at home. It's made to look like your living room at home but the lightning and ambience is a bit of a miss, missing the entire point. The service was really poor, we had to keep reminding the staff to bring our 'kale chips' which is served as complimentary before the meal. The food took really long to arrive, we had to wait about 20 mins before they could bring us anything! I suppose that means atleast the food was fresh and made to order, so maybe that's a good thing? I ordered the S&W zoodles and my friend ordered the baked gnochi casserole. Both dishes were delicious and on point. The ingredients used were fresh and flavorful and if it wasn't for the slow and lousy service, I would definitely be returning to eat there everytime I'm strapped for healthy dining options. As an FYI - do carry a mosquito repellent when you visit, the place saw swarming with mosquitoes.

A bit of a journey for those on the Marina side of the city but a cute little establishment with some interesting menu options. I was surprised with how big the menu was and can't help but wonder if they would be better reducing the size of their menu and focusing on making a smaller menu really fantastic and alternating dishes/specials daily. Albeit, the dish I had was a special, not on the menu, which was a minced lamb with goats cheese stuffed butternut squash. I really enjoyed this dish but it was over salted and the portion was so big I couldn't finish. My friend had the sweet potato gnocchi which she also commented on how salty it was and couldn't finish. I liked that they served complimentary kale chips to begin and with a variety of spices, salt and pepper, I'm just not a fan of their taste in general. <br/><br/>My friend had the flourless chocolate cake but wasn't too thrilled with it. I was too full to move on to dessert! Looking forward to visiting again to try out some more dishes.

Lately, whenever & wherever GUILT FREE food is involved, butterflies start gushing up in my stomach. Being a working woman who has two equally important job, eating healthy can be cumbersome. But I’m determined to stay on track with my diet & health food restaurant like Skye & Walker at JW Marriot Executive Hotel in Deira makes it somewhat manageable.

Skye & Walker is located on the ground floor of the somewhat dated, not-so-trendy Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Creek, in the middle of Deira. This restaurant is designed to appeal to a certain crowd – the kind of person who likes healthy eating and can appreciate food like kale chips and chia seed pudding. (Even if they don’t eat it regularly, like me.)

Located in the Marriot apartments in Deira close to Maktoum bridge this place serves healthy food. Their zuchhini noodles, avocado on toast and veggie pizza were pretty decent. I loved their sweet potato fries. They also give you a free batch of kale chips which dont taste the best unless you add some seasoning. All in all a fresh change from the usually not so healthy options in Deira.

Been here a couple of times already and it's really starting to grow on me. I've tried the Breakfast Flatbread, Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon, Banana Bread served with Almond Butter, 2 eggs in a pan, Organic Beef Burger with Truffle Fries, Kale Chips, Zoodles (Zucchini Noodles) and so much more. My definite favorites are the Kale Chips, Banana Bread and Breakfast Flatbread. <br/><br/>The all day menu has a good choice of items and the prices are reasonable. The location itself is cosy within the Marriott Creek apartments and convenient for people on this side of town. Finally a breakfast place I don't have to drive all the way to the Marina for!

Luke, I am your father… That’s the first thing that came to mind when hearing about Skye & Walker. Although it has nothing to do with Luke Skywalker nor Star Wars. However the overall restaurant idea is pretty out of this world. Judging by the location in Old Dubai I didn’t expect the restaurant to look this nice. Although how well it would do in this area I’m not sure of. Personally I think it would be better received in somewhere like Dubai Marina.

Skye & Walker is a new restaurant which has come up with a sustainable concept incorporating it into not only their food, but also their operation of eatery.<br/><br/>They make an extra effort to use recyclable products and save water and energy.<br/><br/>The staff was cordial and warmhearted.<br/>They explained the dishes to us and made sure they met each and every one of our needs. They looked after us quite well.<br/><br/>The food too was brilliant. They had a lot of variety and everything was different.<br/>For example, I tried Zucchini Noodles for the first time.<br/><br/>For drinks, we tried the Strawberry & coconut water, and Pomegranate Lemonade and both were quite tasty!<br/><br/>I would definitely recommend their Quinoa and White Bean Pita Pockets! And their salads too were very creative and unique. They sure know how to make healthy food taste delicious!<br/><br/>Even their pizzas were delicious.<br/><br/>The have their own custom made gelato, in 7 different flavours (strawberry, lemon, date, dark chocolate, almond, vanilla and saffron) which is made using fresh and organic ingredients. It has a great menu with lots of healthy options, good service and great location (especially if you've lived in Dubai for ages). Sitting outside is best. We are always here every Thursday night. Trust me, we never fail! <br/><br/>What we love about the place is not just the interior design (cozy and artsy) but the food and hospitality are always always amazing!<br/><br/>The food is always cooked to perfection. The place gives an impression of being nice.. in past. Cosy interior, cosy chairs, nice napkins, plates - small details of a decent place, at some point someone cared of these things.<br/>Food however was just sad. Ok beetroot salad is hard to spoil. Rest: spaghetti evoo was in fact indian hakka-style noodles , egg rolls were severly overcooked, baked fries were just sad enough to be replaced with sweet fries portion instead.<br/>Not sure whats the deal, maybe one of these places that was hit hard by corona and had to cut all costs, starting with chef who new how to poach an egg... maybe oneday becomes better but so far there are number of breakfast/brunch places in dubai of much higher level.
