This is a great place and we can’t wait for it to reopen. The cocktails are great and the food menu is really good. They bring you home cooked potato chips with your drinks and also have a great ladies night on Wednesdays. You can sit inside the lounge areas and watch sports or outside and try some shisha. It’s a great atmosphere and the staff are all amazing, attentive and friendly! Highly recommend you visit if you’re in the area.

I have been pretty late to write them a review since I've been pretty busy enjoying every week here... 😊 Shout out to two of their best staff I must say.. Marichu for the lively cocktails she turns around for us.. Everytime! Everytime she's a delight.. Not only welcomes us with a amazing smile but we are regulars here only and only cause of her excellent hospitality.. Guys you must try the LIT By Marichu.. It's the best in the town! Next is Clyde.. What an amazing guy! His service is a 100/10..very seemless and ensures we have the best experience every time we visit moroc.. Three cheers to team Moroc! We surely would recommend friends and family here.

This is a decent place in the locality for a couple of drinks at a good open air terrace location. The service was good and quick. We had veg spring rolls which were okay ish but could have been better if they could increase the quantity according to the rates of it. Next we tried three burgers under the sliders section which came along with French fries. They should really work on those French fries which was soggy and chewy, not at all crisp. Burgers were good though. Really liked the punjabi burger among all. Drinks were all fair enough. Plum mojito was refreshing and just as expected. They could vamp up the place with a little music of their own maybe. Would come again sure!

The crowd is lively and if you wanted to join a table and make some new friends, I am certain most would comply because everyone is there to have a good time.

This was definitely not a planned visit , had thought catch up with friends for dinner at Shanghai chic or chor bazar , but the reservations were full (weekday)so that we had to wait for two hours , ThatZ when we popped into Moroc and we definitely loved the place . Had couple of red wines. Very good service , nice ambience , apt place to catch up and rewind . Pretty reasonable pricing . Did see they have some good cocktails and sheesha too . May be next time would try their cocktails

Nice ambience for gathering or for couples, they have a very good shisha, although I'm not a shisha smoker, but I like to smoke it once in awhile specially if the place has a good ventilation system such like Moroc Lounge. They have a comfortable couches, big screens for matches, and attentive crew who are always ready for your order probably. Also it's good value for money comparing with other lounges in the five stars hotels.

Sometimes we tend to forget about the old places in dubai, of course it can't be blamed with alot of new places popping up! I remembered coming to this lounge bar quite a few years ago and decided to come here for old times sake. <br/><br/>It's located inside Movenpick hotel ibn battuta. Upon arrival don't be surprised with the exterior of the hotel..definitely needs a good paint job.. however, interior is beautiful with the morrocan /arabic design. <br/><br/>Wine, shisha and food here is great. <br/>They prepare our grape and mint shisha with ice..maybe enhances the flavour. I've tried this method with ice before in a Turkish restaurant.<br/>Their chicken wings were very nicely marinated and cooked..moist and not dry at all. Thoroughly enjoy it. Furthermore their complimentary snacks of popcorn and nuts with the drinks are a nice gesture, especially loving their popcorn. Prices for the wine and food are very decent. Even their shisha was priced nicely. <br/><br/>Service wasn't too bad despite it being busy<br/>Staff are friendly and assisting happily to our requests. The only negative point is that I don't like their seating arrangement..The cushioned couches are seated in a big round circle so doesn't make it private. On a positive note they have great deals going on throughout the week which doesn't burn a hole in your wallet!

Our favorite place when agenda is to drink and talk ! :)<br/><br/>Placed at the MovenPick  Ibn Battuta , this lounge has an interior of middle eastern decent , against a definition of regular lounges or sports bars. No loud music to accompany.. not even instrumental.  Moroc has both closed  and open areas where you can enjoy your evening. Advisable that you enjoy indoors till probably October. Indoor has 3 sections , 2 with TV (live sports) for the sports fans and 1 without it for patrons who just want drink and relax. <br/><br/>We land here during happy hours every time to enjoy our favorite Heineken with sheesha. My favorite is apple flavor for sheesha. its pretty sweet on pocket as well.  8-10  draught beers (weizen size glasses) + sheesha  could cost as less as 300 AED or lil more for 2 people !<br/><br/>Service is good and quick as well. Nice place to go ..when you wish to have a conversation / meeting over drinks.<br/><br/>Cheers !!

Friday BBQ brunch. Not really a brunch but nice atmosphere, meat was nicely spiced and service was fast and attentive. Salad and bread served at the table, grills you can choose and have prepared by the chef in front of you. Some other dishes on the side were baked potato, spring rolls and fried rice. It didnt come with any deserts though.. Overall not bad. I was told that this would be the last BbQ friday brunch so perhaps there is a revamp coming!

We have enjoyed the Surf n Turf Brunch at Mistral at the Ibn Battuta gate on numerous occasions, but on this occasion, our Travels, much like that of the Hotel’s namesake took us a little further afield, into the little known depths of a secluded Moroccan garden oasis that basks in the shadow of the imposing figure of the Battuta Gate.<br/><br/>The Food<br/>Food at Moroc is a modest affair, and rather than feature endless dishes of uncertain quality, Moroc focuses on exactly what is says on the tin…which is the BBQ! The lead up to the main event are a selection of starters which are served to your table in small, authentically ornate, tapas-like dishes. These include a selection of Arabic Breads, Fattoush, Tabouleh, a Green Salad, Potato Salad with Spring Onion and Radishes, Tahini and a tasty Cilantro infused Pasta ribbon salad. Before too long we had tired of picking politely at the mini dishes and were thirsty for our fill of BBQ meats and so tiptoed merrily across the searing mosaic tiles toward the chefs stood expectantly by the raw selection of covered proteins waiting to be selected and grilled to order.<br/><br/>What strikes you about the selection is its size. Whilst 8 different proteins may not sound abundant in the grand scale of Dubai brunches where you are usually blind sided by an undefeatable army of foods that even in your wildest fit of gluttony would you everr hope to finish, the selection here has enough variety and interesting pre-marinades and seasonings to give your stomach that sense of adventure, whilst retaining a feeling of comfort, safe in the knowledge that you could easily sample everything on offer. We started with the Marinated Salmon and Prawn Skewers which were cooked to perfection before moving onto the Arabic Mixed Grill selection of Chicken Kofta, Shish Tawook and Lamb Khashkash which is rolled lamb seasoned with chili pepper paste, parsley, garlic and pine nuts. To complete our mission of sampling every protein on offer, we then moved onto the Marinated Mini Steaks, Seasoned Chicken Breast and the West 14th Burgers which are on offer from the Palm Jumeira steakhouse.<br/>All of the items cooked for us arrived in a timely manner and we were never kept waiting for more than 5 or 10 minutes depending on what we ordered, which was perfect time to fill the gap with the section of side dishes accompanying sauces, including Corn on the Cobb, Fried Rice, Onion Rings and Jacket Potatoes.<br/>As a conclusion to the meal, an unexpected and uncomplicated Dessert platter came to our table served on a wooden chopping board featuring a chocolate muffin with purple icing, a chocolate Brownie slice with tangerine and pistachio, a deconstructed key lime cheese cake and a strawberry macaroon.<br/><br/>The Drink<br/>Being an outdoor Brunch in April, we were subject to an unseasonably tropical heat-spike and so to be greeted with an ice cold glass of water was a very welcome change to our normal drinking patterns. Following this short sojourn, normal service was resumed with a glass of sparkling Prosecco Valdo Seleccion (Italy) followed closely by a Medium-Dry Cuvée Speciale (Barton et Gustier) White Wine from France.<br/>Our Helpful barman, eager to escape the confines of the direct sunlight shining behind the bar was all too eager to come to our table and suggest a list of cocktails he would be happy to make us if we so desired. Now I am not sure if he had been privy to any of our previous reviews, but this was the red flag to the bull for us and the start of a very busy afternoon of muddling and shaking for him.<br/>We started with a classic Cosmopolitan, before moving onto a Whisky Sour, then a Gin Fizz, a Margarita, a Mojito, Tequila Sunrise and finally a Caprioska (The exact order in which they arrived may be subject to a little artistic license…I blame the heat!)<br/><br/>The Atmosphere<br/>As chilled out back garden BBQ’s go, the secluded and almost exclusive vibe of Moroc’s upstairs lounge or seated terrace has got to be up there and in terms of an iconic backdrop, you would be hard pressed to find another brunch closer to a more picturesque landmark other than those set in the shadow of the Atlantis, The Burj al Arab or the Khalifa. The relaxed, shisha-loving crowd along with the steadily increasing BPM’s of the sassy DJ Jen provide the perfect soundtrack to an afternoon of unperturbed indulgence as the sun slowly sets into the arc of the gate.<br/><br/>Overall<br/>Laid back, uncomplicated and easy on the eye. The extensive shisha menu, garden furniture, pergola bar and bushy foliage shielding the sight and sound of the tooting taxi’s and unknowing mall goers transports you both into the mystifying Moroccan theme and the comfort of your garden all at the same time. If I had to critique the service, along with a small suggestion, the BBQ chefs became all but redundant after 3pm once guests had finished eating and could have perhaps been redeployed as the drinks waiters became overrun and the pace of service slowed considerably. The outdoor nature of the BBQ does leaves it vulnerable to the elements and as such has a shelf life in terms of comfortability as we draw closer to summer time, but the simple ingredients, immaculately seasoned meats and inventive drinks creations of the bar staff override those risks, as long as your expectations are set from the start.

Wonderful place for a mojito. The service is hit and miss but the ambience is nice. Go there in winters as you can sit outside. Sitting inside is ok... I feel that their snack menu is a total rip off.. But if you go there for a drink and a meal, go to their Asian/Chinese restaurant. It will be totally worth your hard earned money

Vibes - that's all this Friday brunch was for me - good vibes!<br/><br/>From the moment we entered we got a good vibe that this brunch was going to be different and we were right, The Moroc Friday brunch isn't your usual "over stuff" - "every cuisine under the sun" type brunch - its different. Good food, affordable and amazing atmosphere with the DJ spinning some lounge music to help start your weekend.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>We were welcomed by Gino who offered to kick start our brunch with a refreshing cosmopolitan - again all good vibes :)<br/><br/>This was followed by a mojito and a margaritha - the vibe was still good! Each drink refreshing and complementing to the texture of our grilled items.<br/><br/>The vibe changed to great as soon as we started on the BBQ items - which essentially is all what this BBQ is all about.<br/><br/>The mini rib eye (with the option of pepper or mushroom sauce), the succulent prawns (with the option of a slightly over-powering saffron and butter sauce) all were the MUST-HAVE'S of this BBQ. The beef kabab, lamb kofta and a live shawarma counter accompanied with some corn on the cob, fried rice, onions rings and crispy spring rolls.<br/><br/>By the time we reached our dessert platter, was which an absolute win we realised that Moroc had definitely won us over - again! <br/><br/>What really stood out for me? Service, smiles and genuine hospitality.<br/><br/>Be it from the welcome of Jad, the lowdown of the brunch from Sarah or the detailed descriptions of our cocktails from Gino. This isn't the first time we've enjoyed the warm service of Movenpick Ibn Battuta gate and I'm sure it won't be the last!<br/><br/>The brunch is priced at AED 130/- with soft beverages and AED 239/- with house beverages, shisha is priced at AED 75/- and with the current weather now would be the best time to visit!

Tried Chicken bbq wings Chicken lollipop was also good. Tried many different kinds of drinks like caipiroska and blue lagoon, it was a nice experience. Quite reasonable rates as well.
