Bob Evans

This was most likely my last meal at Bob Evans. I'm never impressed with their food or their service. (My parents still like it, for some reason.) I was given the choice of grilled or fried chicken for my Wildfire Chicken Salad, so I chose grilled. After quite some time after ordering, the waitress breaks it to me that the grilled chicken is unavailable. Fine. I'll settle for grilled. When it finally comes out, there is no Wildfire sauce on my salad, only the Wildfire ranch dipping sauce. The sauce was delivered with my sandwich, which really needed the sauce as much as the salad because it was dry and lifeless. The Pepsi was just as lifeless. Our waitress was sweet, but obviously has not had quality training.

We were in York for a sports tournament. I needed to get my athlete fed quick. I was very surprised there was no wait at 10a on a Sunday. I told the server we were in a hurry. Food came out quick, and the server was responsive to our needs. We just got easy, simple breakfast items. Scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and a cup of their well known sausage gravy, with biscuits. Everything was good, no complaints.

I really like Bob Evans restaurants. The food is consistently good, their prices are excellent and the quality is always the same. I don't like surprises with food, and you won't get any at Bob Evans. This restaurant, like so many others have been hit with labor shortages. It's apparent by the number of employees, but you'd never know it by the speed of the wait staff or the kitchen staff. Bob Evans does so much better working with the limited employees than many other restaurants. To me this speaks to the professionalism of the staff and management coworkers with everyone else. If a restaurant can remain consistent under these circumstances, they've got to be doing something right. The proof is in the food.

The food just wasn’t very good in my personal opinion. I mean it definitely wasn’t bad or unedible or anything like that it just didn’t make me really want to finish my food. It was just 2 sunny side up eggs and bacon but it just wasn’t cooked the way I figured it would be. My fiancé ordered sweet tea to which they brought her plain tea with a sugar packet. So she explained that she wanted actual sweet tea and they told her that’s the only type of sweet tea they have. We had to just get her a water after that which was a little frustrating because it’s common sense to explain something like that in the beginning to customers. We sat for long periods of time without being waited on and I guess that’s because they had a lot of people eating but I felt like they had a lot of staff as well. Just wasn’t a good experience and we haven’t been back.

Customer service SUCKS! I waited here for 15 mins before someone even came to help. Order wasn’t even in the system ! If your black stay away!!! After waiting 15 more mins got in the car my drink was half emptied on the bag no condiments but ketchup and had nunthing to use it with. The 6 people at the front and not one has good customer service WASTE OF MONEY. No syrup , sweet tea was Unsweet. Drink spilled over in bag instead of them giving the drink in hand
