My husband and I loved our 3 night stay here. The room was very clean and spacious and had a fab view of the cathedral. All staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The food was just amazing. Breakfast had a great selection of food to help yourself and can also order hot food such as a full English or bacon and egg sandwich plus lots more to choose from. Light bits menu up till 5pm then can choose off the bigger menu. Great relaxing atmosphere with lovely comfy seats after eating which was a nice place to chill. This hotel is in a fantastic location as we walked literally out the door to the cathedral and then to the amazing shops and museums. So much so see and do and after a day of walking 18,000steps we looked forward to chilling with a cold shandy before having something to eat. Even though it was right in the centre it was quiet when in your room and didn’t hear anything outside.

Really awesome location, right opposite York Minster. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Brilliant breakfast included in room with breakfast option, plenty of choice of full English, bacon and/or sausage sarnies, eggs benedict, eggs on toast etc etc. Car valet parking (£25 per night) and £15 for a dog per evening, which is very reasonable. We paid a bit extra to have a room with a view (Feature Double) and it was a fantastically large bedroom and ensuite with a direct view looking at the Minster. We were impressed that we were able to select a good room (as we were travelling with our dog). Tea and coffee provided in the room, along with a bar fridge. The only problem we had was using the WiFi but it did say to contact the front desk for help if there was a problem. The staff could not have been more helpful, really lovely experience and we would definitely return.

Amazing location for a stay in York. Staff are a credit to the hotel and very helpful. Rooms are spotless. We were on the top floor so the room was initially quite hot but it had a Dyson fan which was perfect. Very comfortable bed. Can’t fault the place. Valet parking available, we checked in early and picked the car up late the next day. £25 per day. Breakfast was tasty and made fresh

Enjoyed my stay for work here - great location, convenient for being right in the heart of York and can’t get closer to the Minster! Room was huge, so much bigger than expected, and felt care had been taken for the decor choice and quality of furnishings. Bathroom was lovely and modern too. Breakfast included on bookings is only continental offerings, just to note that hot options are additional fee and placed on order. Staff I spoke to were very friendly and courteous. Would stay again!
