Jamaica Kitchen

The food in this location is so delicious. It is fresh and you get the feeling of eating homemade food when you eat from here. The jerk chicken is soaked in flavor and super tender. The staff is so nurturing and homey. I absolutely love visiting this location so if you are in the area it is highly recommended.

I think that Jamaica Kitchen has the BEST homemade beef patties in Yonkers - hands down. I do have to point out as many others did, the service itself is hit or miss. The first time I walked in, I was helped by someone who seemed like he didn't want to be bothered - bad attitude/energy and he also gave me the wrong amount of change (owed me like $1.50). But, I did go today and I was helped by a friendly gentleman and will certainly be back.

The Jamaican kitchen was a pleasant experience. This restaurant is a small takeout, The capacity is two tables to sit. Their cuisine is Jamaican and South American. From my experience the staff is friendly and courteous and the environment is clean and cozy. The cost is mediocre or not too expensive not too cheap I rate this place five-star because of all the properties explained example the cleanliness the taste of the food and the friendly service that I received. Hello. I'm from out of town. I googled Jamaican restaurant near me and your establishment came up. My family order the typical Jamaican dishes for dinner ie; oxtail, curry goat and stew peas with rice. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Everything was excellent, the meats were flavorful and succulent with just the right amount of seasoning. The service was outstanding, "unfortunately I did not get the name of the young man that served us". Looking forward to more dinners while in the area. Thank you very much. Denzil Simmonds

The food we ordered was for a student gathering. I was at first confused by the size I was told the order would be for the price, but the pan size that were delivered were more what I had envisioned. The staff and students raved about the oxtail. The beef patties were spicy for some, but overall very good. The size of the 3 pans (oxtail, rice w/beans, and beef patties) ordered were great for the 15 people who came to eat. The delivery was close to the time requested due to the large campus we were on. The delivery man was kind enough to carry the food inside and bypass those who wanted the food to go into their rooms (that's how good the food smelled!). Overall the students were happy which made the experience well worth it!
