AMAZING! The bread they give you when you first sit down is hands down the best bread ever. Their prices are extremely reasonable considering the amount of food you get. I had the French dip in the half size and this thing was HUGE! If you are eating it alone I would recommend only getting the half unless you want to bring some home. My husband had the bacon cheddar burger and he also said it was phenomenal. The veggies on the burger came diced which he found nice and easier to handle rather than big chunks. Our son got the kids pancake meal with back but the pancake was easily bigger than his head. Their bacon also is some of the best I've ever had. To top it all off they make their own potato chips and give you a free cupcake with every meal, which were also amazing! Service is always quick and the atmosphere is cozy. The booths are roomy and they have various sizes of tables for bigger groups. We will be returning again for sure!!!

I go here with my mom for lunch a lot. We love the Rivera salad (a salad with strawberries, I think it's pecans and a poopy seed dressing). It's cool because we always get the same thing. The pick two. You can get a salad and a half of a sandwich but it's good sized and then a cupcake for dessert. For $10. Plus they give you delicious bread with dipping sauces for free. This is only at this location though. I can't guarantee it's at other locations. Anyway I was very happy with out waitress today. And we ate all our food, even the bread! 😄

The food and service is always good here, you've GOT to try the tartar sauce and fish; you've never had it like they've got it! The seating area is always clean, the tables kept up ,and bathrooms in good order. The baked goods are a regular stop any time we can come up with even half an excuse and always fresh. If you give it a try, you'll be back.

I went there for my birthday today and my husband order the melt in your mouth brisket and I ordered the pepper steak and it was excellent but our waitress wasn't. She was slow and not on top of things. She didn't even clear our empty drinks and plates from our table. She didn't check on us, we had everyone else getting what we needed but her and she only had 3 people in her section. So if it was busy then I would understand. Needless to say the cook got her tip

Stopped in for lunch, I was seated right away. Once seated I waited for quite some time before my waiter arrived. Very curtious but very busy. Tried the new Chicago Steak sandwich, excellent choice. The cupcake that comes with that meal was a nice surprise. I will return, hopefully they will be back to full staff for my next visit.

I used to love this restaurant back in the 80s when it was on Lenard street in GR. Haven’t been back since the fire closed that building. The wife has never been, so we stopped at the Clyde Park location. Food was pretty good, though not hot, and the coffee was cold. What made me write this review however was the ketchup bottle. It was disgusting to say the least. It was just kind of a sad visit and not sure if we’ll be back.

My rating reflects the overall experience at this Arnies location. My wife was disappointed with her chicken pot pie, not because it tasted bad, but because it was so shallow and did not have enough gravy (merely a preference). I myself was impressed with their Authentic Chicago sandwich. It rivaled Portillo's beef sandwich from the city itself, so I loved it. Our waitress was very prompt and friendly despite their busy Sunday afternoon. We also walked out with two free cupcakes. I would rate a 4.5 if possible. Our experience deserved neither a 4 or a 5. Overall good place to eat. We will probably go back for various group occasions.

Always a nice place to visit if you're in the Grand Rapids area. Good food with fast and friendly service. Cozy and relaxing atmosphere, and front area has a bakeshop that's always enticing. Had the new brisket sandwich and chili cheese fries, and left full and happy. They've done a major overhaul of their menu, which is nice (though I do miss the bang bang chicken). Will definitely be back.
