Champ's Diner

We went there with my family and the soonest we’re seated and placed an order, the wait was almost two hours to get the food served. Never mind we’re waiting for so long, nobody bothered to communicate that they were short of a cook until we asked. In the meantime we observed takeout after takeout going out of the door while we’re patiently waiting to be served in the restaurant.Then, initially we’re offered complementary beans with our breakfast and those never came out and again we had to ask if they have forgotten, but they’re out of them and no one bothered to communicate that neither! The food came out not as advertised, French toast had almost no cream cheese and roasted potatoes tasted over seasoned and salty, and coffee wasn’t that great. I am not sure why this place got almost 5 stars, to me I can barely give a star.

Busy place, but the two of us can always get a seat at the counter if we're in a hurry. The food is top notch. The home fries are the best around. Fresh Red Bliss potatoes... seasoned just right, soft inside with a crispy exterior. They really take the time to do it right. A complimentary side of homemade baked beans are offered with your breakfast. The baked ham is delicious as well as the Eggs Benedict. I've never been disappointed. Wait staff was welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home. Nice place to bring children. Parking lot is spacious. Outside tables are offered in season. Priced right.
