Checkers

I haven't been to checkers in years.... Wow things have digressed. The hamburgers shrank, the amount of fries reduced, the inconvenience of using the right window then carefully maneuvering through the small parking lot to go in the left window to pick up the food (even though the no one was behind me), and lastly the fact I had to give my credit card to cashier as opposed to a touch less system. After thinking about it the only reason I'm giving this location a two star is because of the convenient location. My kids were hungry and I was easily able to pop in.

I ordered a strawberry shake. It wasn't very good. The mix was the problem. Maybe had it been mixed properly it wouldn't have tasted tangy. This was my 1st time ordering a shake. My patient wanted a vanilla shake, so we stopped their because it was the only place on our route. I may try again. I'm not usually a fast food person. I go if I'm out when it's time to eat.

It's unfortunate that some restaurants just don't live up to the hype of their sister locations!! I LOVE a good checker burger with hot, fresh fries!! I love it even more when the burger actually has a burger patty on it!!! Fries were so cold, grease filled and soggy they had taken on the shape of the cup they were stuffed into. I filed a fry bomb claim and tried to reach the store with no answer to chat with them directly. Spend the time and go to Havendale Checkers.

After getting off of work, my husband & I decided to stop at Checkers to get a couple of cheeseburgers. It was 10:35 pm and there was a long line at the drive-thru so we decided to walk up to the window. There were 2 people ahead of us and they got their food. We stood there for 10 minutes while the staff continued to ignore us. After handing food to the person in front of us, one of your stellar employees (black woman) looked directly at us as she vigorously slapped a Sign on the window saying ‘walk up window is closed’ and slammed the window and then walked away. Unacceptable and rude are two words that come to mind. If this place has a manager, they may want to train their employees on how to provide good customer service. Ignoring a customer, then staring at them as she puts a closed sign up during operating hours is totally unacceptable.

I am not one to complain. I ran restaurants for years but the food was horrible. 2 Chicken bite boxes is what we bought. The large box at that.. chicken tasted like rubber fake chicken. Service was terrible. I would rather eat Ramen noodles then this garbage. Between the food and service I can't believe I spent almost 30 dollars on trash. Stay away from this place.
