Royal Subs

I love royal subs and I drive a distance to get it but the best thing about the sub was there unique soft sweet bread. They no longer have that bread, it’s like regular sub bread now. The sub was still really good but I’m going to miss there old bread. My favorite is the Italian or Ultimate Italian sub. I also like the Philly Cheesesteak. They also have a delicious Creamy Italian sauce.

I don’t normally write reviews, good or bad. I had to make an exception this time though. I ordered a chicken philly.. never have I seen something so horrendous. Look at the pics! The entire sandwich is white, the chicken looks canned, it all appears to be a microwaved concoction. I mean which part of that sandwich looks like it ever touched an actual grill or flattop?? Ordered a steak bomb for my fiancé and she thought it looked microwaved also and refused to eat it. Simply serving food of this quality displays a lack of customer service. I wanted to support a small business but I would’ve had a much better experience at some chain like Jersey Mikes. I’ve generally heard rave reviews about Royal subs (45 st location) but I was disappointed with the food from the Okeechobee one.

I used to come this place at least once a week for a sub. Now they have new ownership. Anyway after giving them the benefit of the doubt, today will be my last day buying a sub at their Okeechobee location. The sub was literally bread, mayo and veggies. Oh I'm sorry 2 peices of ham and 2 slices of cheese. It's unfortunate because I really enjoyed this place.

If you don’t already know, this place is amazing. First, the bread they use is sent from heaven. At first glance, it looks like regular bread, but as you bite into the “pillowy” bread, your taste buds tell you that there is something different here. No matter which sub you get, you will be amazed. Turkey, Italian, Roast beef, tuna. All of it. Not to mention the people who work there are really good people. Whenever I’m in the area, I have to stop by. And when I’m not planning on being there, I find reasons to be.
