It's a burger joint, so 5 stars is in that context.
But simply put, it's a bit more expensive because it's better.
Burgers are cooked to order. The chips are good. The whole thing is a level above the market leaders.
The Firecracker sauce is spicy and recommended. The special sauce is a ringer for Big Mac sauce.
You are looking to spend around £12 for a burger and chips with a cuppa but the extra is not unreasonable. I gave it the extra star for a full 5 because the toilets were extremely clean and pleasant.

Haven’t been in a Wimpy for years but happy to say mixed grill just as I remember. Good service and good food so glad I did the nostalgia trip

What can I say, this was like a walk back in time, las used this Wimpy way back in 1979, was totally surprised that it was still there, same seating arrangement, newer seats. It was great, had our grandson with us, very friendly welcome upon arrival, very friendly service, meals were great, thanks for making us feel welcome, felt like home again. Grandson was impressed as he uses another well known rival. Memories....
