Mr. Bowen's

Food is great if you can get what you want. Have gone 4 times in a row now in the past 2 months wanted chicken and wedges combo but all 4 times they have either chicken and no wedges or wedges and no chicken and the wait for either has ranged from 45 min to over 2 hours. When they first opened didnt have this issue. Not sure how they are going to stay open for long if they have to keep turning customers away from not having any food that they are supposed to sell.

Mr. Bowen's has some of the worst fried chicken I've ever tasted in my life. The skin is bland, lacks any real crispiness or crunch, and overall is soggy. A simple fix would be to amp up the cayenne and paprika in the flour, and fry the chicken for longer. One way to really take the chicken to the next level would be to fry at a low temperature for a longer time to cook the inside then fry it at a high temperature for a minute or two to crisp up the chicken. This would add flavour and colour to the chicken. I will not be eating here again until they change and improve their chicken.

They advertise the meal comes with a drink. When my meal was ready after waiting a bit with a cashier that was odviously brand new the older Asian gentleman argued with me and then tried to make it sound like I didn't get a drink because i got gravy instead of a salad. Oh and no dipping sauce for chicken strips. What a waste of money. Terrible service! Won't be returning. Dont waste your time or money.

HIGHLAND LOCATION IS HORRIBLE ! This was the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. No one should eat at this restaurant the owner was extremely rude. On opening day I went in and ordered one of the specials that they were advertising with signs along the road. It was chicken biryani, I ordered clearly then drove home to find a chicken burger in the bag. I returned hopeful to get the food I wanted, he then told me that I was wrong and ordered the burger. Said they have been out of biryani for hours, insisted I leave and refused to give me any sort of refund. I was treated like crap and called a liar. This place does not deserve one star. I have not been to the location in the plaza with Walmart but I believe it is the same owner.

I ordered a combo fry chicken from door dash on 2 nd April 2019 for my friends and they gave food for my puppy. The chicken has no feel or flavor, outrageous texture, and the mayonnaise, it may kill me. It's shelf life has done. A tasteless waldrof salad. At least they don't have the common sense to give ketchup us accompaniment instead of hot sauce. A stone hard burger bun is a fantasy to the food industry. Waldrof instead of Caleslaw. Canada dry instead of Mount dew. Totally a complete mess.
