Pita Pit

If I had ordered chicken or some other protein, the food might have been ok, but, I ordered gyro meat as a topping for a salad. The meat was not very tasty and the hummus was very bland. Perhaps their other items are more appetizing. I love gyros and hummus, but this is not the place to purchase it. The customer service persons were very nice.....

I eat here at least twice a week due to the vegan options and the calorie counter. Even though I pay through the app once a month, it always feels good to make a purchase an hear, "no charge." Of course I tip the people making my food. Everyone is so considerate and very customer service oriented, especially at the Pita Pit by Crossroads Mall.

Used to be a regular. Quit going when my girlfriend ordered and was given something she did not order and was berated by the employee and he condescendingly told her what she had ordered. I was in disbelief at the rudeness and have not been back since. That was her first and only experience there and if their attitude about messing up your order is to explain why you're wrong then they don't need my money. Used to go a couple times a month but never again. Gyro Hut is far better and the employees are respectful.

I have been getting lunch at the Waterloo store for years. You get 2 stars today because one pita we ordered was delicious. The second was average- not well mixed. And it’s lack of appeal could be from the bad taste that the service left in my mouth first. We walked in and 2 VERY worn out looking employees came from the back. Neither greeted us/ both were wearing gym clothes and no semblance of any sort of uniform. They could have been customers for all I knew. The guy was wearing a PAPA MURPHYS baseball hat and unshaven too and not in a cool way. He never greeted us, asked what we wanted, asked if we wanted chips/ drink/ and never said thank you. During COVID-19- your employees are working with fresh ingredients that are often not heated in any way- they should be WEARING MASKS! Today was a fail. Disappointed.

I love pita pit. The issue I had was that the employees were switching between running the register, handling money, and handling the food without washing their hands or changing their gloves. Coming from food service experience, I know that that is not okay. It just left me feeling gross about eating the food.
