First we visited the Distillery next door for a wonderful tasting (bought three bottles) then went to the restaurant for a cocktail. Service, atmosphere and drinks were great….came back the next day again. Prices were a bit high but they use quality ingredients and make some of their simple syrups.

This place, to me, is perfect. Yes, it is a high-end restaurant, and the price tag is up there. If that's why you haven't made it, check them out on a Thursday when they have a burger special. If you can only make it on a special occasion, do it. The people here are real. They make real food on a higher scale than your average dining experience. Don't downgrade their rating because you wanted more of the deliciousness that they are serving, enjoy what you have. Their portions are enough to satisfy your appetite. I have been multiple times, and have only been disappointed when I came in too late and was turned away. The service is on point. The executive chef has an amazing palate, and the building has been remodeled beautifully. Go, splurge on yourself and your loved ones. This place is worth every penny.

Fantastic food, great drinks, friendly service and a very charming dining room. Everything I had, including sampling all my friends entrees, was phenomenal! The menu rotates to ensure freshness, and that freshness really shines through.

I have come to this place several times! Came tonight. I love the food each time. The flavor is always great! The only negative comment is the portion sizes. Ordered the scallop app. Had two scallops. 20$ two scallops! Wish y’all would reconsider y’all’s portion sizes. Also having a option to order side items would be nice! The chef is amazing btw. Just increase the portions please and thanks!

I don’t write reviews very often. From the moment I walked in the front door, the staff were warmhearted, welcoming, and polite. My waitress (Kayla) had a gentle personality, friendly smile, and was attentive. I ordered the Burrata Salad, Seared Tuna, a Latte, and Strawberry Shortcake Crème Brûlée. The food was absolutely amazing.
I eat at a lot of fine dining restaurants, and tonight’s experience surpassed all of the fine dining I’ve recently had in LA and Santa Monica. As mentioned earlier, I even ordered dessert and I am not a fan of “sweets”. To have a place like this in a small southern river town is a blessing for romantic nights out and guests to the Washington area. Luckily, I have a place on Main Street and can now stop by on a whim. Great job on absolutely everything! Highly recommend❤️

It was our first time at The Hackney and we enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and great service! Our server was Kayla and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes they served at The Hackney. My wife had the seared tuna and I had the seared flounder and we both loved it. We definitely will be back again soon and we highly recommend it!

Such a unique and lovely dining experience. The open space allows you to talk to everyone dining around you. It is a relaxed, social atmosphere. We really enjoyed going though the courses and enjoyed the wine pairings. We look forward to returning for another event.

Worth the trip from Raleigh! Cocktails, food, and dessert are flavorful and satisfying. Great service in a classy setting. Parking nearby. Highly recommended

A great experience from start to finish. Enjoyed the gun tasting and had to buy a bottle of the blueberry gin. Excellent service and fantastic food.
