Neighborhood mainstay does their own roasting. Very nice espresso drinks. Gelato looked tempting even on this very cold day! Plenty of space for dining in.

Great covered patio!!! Coffee is pretty good. You can print things here, which is a lifesaver. A longtime neighborhood spot.

A 17th Street staple. Cozy neighborhood vibe. Good food, nice place to hang out, and they always play good music.

I tend to find cafes in big cities to be show offs with more effort on presentation than quality, but this is not the case with Java house.
The coffee is delicious and the food is great. My husband and I had breakfast sandwiches. I was thrilled to see and taste fresh ingredients for the sandwiches. We are from out of state, but we look forward to coming back here in the future.

The coffee is better than its rivals. The service is straight forward. The pastries suck but you're in the best city in the world.

The price is right! Great coffee and small breakfast options. Very little indoor seating available so very hot in the summer but apart from that a great choice

Quaint little coffee shop that serves as a fun place to work and a great lunch spot. While the WiFi isn't the fastest, the staff are very friendly and the food portions are quite good. Their interior is small but they have a nice covered dining area.

A nice neighborhood Cafe. Solid drinks and food. Lots of coffee choices to drink and beans to buy. Definitely try the loaded smoked salmon/avocado/cream cheese /onion /tomato sandwich. So good.

Java House is a well-established cafe in the Historic Dupont Circle neighborhood. Situated on the warm side of Q St NW, Java House’s large patio offers power outlets along the railing, as well as umbrellas and an extendable awning for shade during warmer days.
Java House is a great place to study, grab weekend (or any day) breakfast & lunch, or extend your work-from-home office for a few hours.

Off 17th street. Has outside tables in shade and some air conditioned inside. Big range of coffee, Chi, and sandwich menus. Roasts it's own coffee. Quiet strong. Prices above average. Range of pastries sometimes Bananas. Clean toilet you ask for a coin. ATM. Some times you might have Moscitoes. Busy street parking meters. No
