Chimac

I ordered on Uber eats because I’m spending Christmas all alone this year since moving to Victoria. The corn cheese was so delicious and creamy and the soy chicken was fried beautifully and tasted amazing. The pickled radish is so fresh and pairs great with the chicken. I received so many meaty bones in the pork bone stew and the flavour was phenomenal. I can’t wait to eat from here again and I’m not even finished my meal yet.

On a recent trip to Victoria, my husband & I tried Chimac Korean & loved it. We went at opening time (noon) & had a great waiter. The service was good & the food delicious. I tried their spicy chicken soup & my husband had the chicken gizzards. The portions are quite filling. It is a small and cozy restaurant/pub with great food. Shout out to our waiter - unfortunately we did not think to get his name. When in Victoria, we definitely would go back.

Wow This chicken was so damn good. $30 for a place of chicken large enough for 2 people, great value. Got the original, spicy chili, and garlic soy flavours. Highly recommend coming here with a group of people large enough that you are able to order multiple plates of chicken so you can try all flavours. Atmosphere was great, service was fast, restaurant was nice. -Anton Ego

Surprised to find this gem in Victoria. Casual vibe and their Spicy Chilli Chicken with a side of kimchi & spring onions is really tasty! Also enjoyed a bowl of seafood noodle soup on a rainy day. This one must be eaten fresh as I had some left over - doesn't taste the same a day later. Good portions.

Delicious Korean-style fried chicken., crispy on the outside, moist and flavourful inside The portion is pretty good with the price. The space is a little small but clean and cozy. Only have a problem with the service as other people have reviewed. The waitress was not too friendly. They will not offer any water or drinks, so you have to ask for them. Other than that, worth to try a visit for their chicken.

Quite underwhelming if you are looking for korean fried chicken, the chicken is not very crispy and there was entirely too much green onion in the dish, although the meat was very tender. We also got the pork stew and that was pretty delicious in terms of the pork being stewed properly and fell apart. I did not feel like the broth was very authentic tasting though and there was a lot of pepper. The resturant is quite busy and there is a waitlist for spots if it is a weekend. The service is not bad, although they did run out of rice when I wanted to order some to go. Overall not bad, but I wouldn't come here for the chicken.
