Two Elk

Two Elk Lodge in Vail (all on mountain dining). Where do I begin, how dare Vail charge $20 for the plate I received. It was supposed to be a cheese burger, but not entirely sure? Shame on you Vail Management, you have gotten to greedy. We have been epic pass holders for many years and I truly cannot wait to try IKON next year. Vail is not what it used to be, save your wads of money and go anywhere but Vail!

They have signage indicating pizza, burritos, salad, etc, but none was to be found at noon on a Friday. Only industrial grade grilled cheese sure to satisfy even the pickiest 4 year old's palate, thin overcooked burgers with tasteless cheese, or bland luke-warm chicken strips with floppy wet fries. Want bacon on your burger? No. Want a double burger? No. They used to have hot sauce to spice up the bland food but that's gone now along with the pizza, burritos, and the rest of the flavor. Do yourself a favor and ski down to the village to eat somewhere that actually knows how to make decent food.

Vail virtue signaling. Have to make reservation for table for cafeteria style resturant. Had significantly less options to eat than previous years and blamed it on covid. Had to wait in line for about 15 min for the staff to check you in to get seated in a cafeteria. Had to have proof of vaccine and mask to enter and then got put in seats right next to others. Appears they are using covid to decrease service. Really sucks when lift tickets are $ 219 per day. No longer is it " like no other" as advertised. Went to Copper one day and had all the usual food selections and no hassle getting cafeteria style eating. After experience I would tell everyone to go to Copper instead.
