We were given room temperature water in dirty glasses and then ignored completely for 20-25 minutes after we placed drink and food orders all at once. I had to get up and walk to the hostess(who was super kind and helpful) what was going on for them to bring us anything after 25 minutes, and they messed up two of our drinks and completely didn’t bring another drink our friend had ordered originally. They weren’t super busy either and were maybe half full or less in the restaurant. I’ve just never waited that long to get drinks or water or be checked on. For the price too, we were really bummed. They didn’t check on us at all again after they dropped everything off and we all wanted more water and wanted to fix things. Terrible to be honest and bummed us all out. We also had to stand up and walk over to ask the hostess for the check because no one else was walking over. She was the only one trying to help us out. We also had 6 people and they put all of us on one check even though we asked for it split 3 ways beforehand. I never am harsh towards food/ customer service workers because I work in retail but this was just very bad. They didn’t offer to comp anything too.

Had the huevos rancheros (picture below). It tasted great and had beautiful presentation, but the portion was small compared to the price paid. The dining room was elegant with a great patio view. Coffee the waiter served us was ridiculously strong. We felt jittery and overly caffeinated for hours after 2 cups of coffee, our usual amount.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Vail about 15 years ago, today it’s really nothing special anymore. I waited 15 minutes for my coffee and mimosas, no salt and pepper on the table, no jam with my English muffin. I’m annoyed to always have to find and signal for a staff member for the most basic of necessities. The table beside us sat after we ordered and they received their juices and drinks well before my table. The failure here seems to be the guy behind the bar as well as the tables not being properly set. Instead of a nice memorable experience this was an annoyance of a breakfast and one I’m not in a hurry to repeat. There are much better options in Vail for breakfast.

I had breakfast at Cucina with friends and wish I knew about the restaurant sooner! The service was top notch, all of the staff was attentive and friendly. The food was incredible and we also tried their fresh juices which were great. Everything is farm to table. The patio was open and offered a great view of Vail Village. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in town and will be a return customer!

Based on the menu we had high expectations for breakfast, but execution and service fell short. First the good: the location in the garden was beautiful, prices were reasonable, the drip coffee was a solid, middle of the road brew, and the pork green chili was delicious. Now the bad: The bloody mary and garnish were mediocre -- what you might get at a sports bar. The French toast kabobs were extremely dry and lacked flavor, beyond what butter and syrup could help mitigate. The eggs benedict arrived lukewarm and the hollandaise sauce was already breaking. The side salad with dill salad dressing tasty, but the dressing was just a sprinkle on top, leaving most of the salad undressed. We had to follow up twice with two different servers to get a side that was ordered, and then the wrong side was brought out so we had to wait again for the correct side to arrive, by which time the eggs were cold. There were only two other parties and we saw five different servers, but service seemed unusually slow. Maybe the kitchen is super far away? Maybe room service was crazy busy on this Thursday mid-morning? Maybe everyone was new? Regardless, overall the experience was disappointing and we will not return.
