One of my favourite places to go for comfort food, which actually is comforting. The Somali blend of spices, fusion of pasta and curried dishes was a combo that unexpectedly works really well. The staff was phenomenal and service was polite and accommodating. Overall I’d recommend this place to any of my friends looking for some good food, tasty spices and truly a comforting experience.

I am giving this restaurant 5 $tars for its authentic taste. The process of ordering is to go to the front counter and give your order, you will be given a receipt and your food will be serve to you in your chosen table. We went there when the first COVID restrictions were lifted. The service is excellent, food is made to order so when it is served to your table, it'll be fresh, piping hot and delectable. They specialize in grilled foods, fresh salads and specialty Mediterranean rice. I would say this is a fusion of middle Eastern/African cuisine and it comes off as brilliant. The servers are professional, courteous and friendly. It was introduced by a Somalian friend and I would say I genuinely enjoyed the experience. I would actually go again with my party and perhaps order something different. I was impressed with their muufo platters, it was my first time tasting a Somalian cuisine, it's subtle and not overpowering, it's actually tomato based stews. Shoutout to the owner ABDULLAHI, he gave us the sticky toffee pudding on the house and it really tasted heavenly. Keep up the good work !!!

ORDERING AND PICKUP My experience at Xawaash was interesting. I had placed an order using their website the day prior so that my food would be ready for when I came to pick it up on my lunch break. I arrived 9 minutes after pick up time (because I know they may run a little late), but when I arrived it seemed as though they had not even looked at the order system. I used almost the entirety of my lunch break by waiting an additional forty minutes. All in all, there is not point to preordering, they will make the food when you get there. THE FOOD The food was VERY good. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the portion sizes are the definition of bang for your buck. I ate the beef Xawaash Bowl and the lamb fatayer. Next time I’m definitely gonna send a reminder call 30 minutes before I arrive.

One of my Somalia friend recommended this resturant. So i went there and i ordered Chicken Kofta and Chicken Hebab with Rice and Fried Chicken Legs with Rice. First i tried Chicken kofta & hebab with rice. rice is so tasty, we can eat rice without any dishes that much taste i like the rice taste. Chicken kofta & chikcen kebab well cooked and one the top well toasted. Then i tried fried chicken legs with rice. Rice is good but the chicken is too much oil. I dont like fried chicken leg perosnally other than that everything i loved it.

Food was really great, ordering and counter service was challenging, and figuring out dining in. Front counter area could use a reno to look more inviting/welcoming and appetizing. But the food was on point. Would get takeout next time.

Great food and customer service! I started off with the pita bread and Mutabbal dip. Then lamb tripe stew, Mbogga stew, and a salad. And finished with a Somali coffee/Qishr. Surprisingly enough the food reminded me of Sri Lankan/South Asian curry. The Muufo bread especially was like the middle part of a Sri Lankan hopper/Appam/Aappa. I'd recommend anyone new to try! It wasn't too spicy. Very delicious. Thank you!!

Very good food and friendly service. Lamb is excellent value. My complaint is the flimsy coffee cup lids don't fit tightly over the cups and I ended up spilling hot coffee on myself several times. Beware!
