Pho Nam

my reviews are based on "value" and that was just not there. $14 for a bowl of pho with barely any meat (for a pho #10, there was ONE piece of tendon, maybe 2 pieces of the other meats) tiny amount of sprouts, $8 for 2 tiny pieces of egg rolls. will continue my search for a decent pho place around here...

A cool cloudy Sunday with the wind blowing & the rain clouds ready to open up. What a great way to warm up in mind & body by having a fabulous bowl of Phở!!! And my two teens couldn’t agree more. So I ordered three bowls of Phở Gà from Phở Nam in Progress Ridge TownSquare. The three of us had the same thought: Phenomenal!!! Fresh, tasty, & soothing.

The food is average and it is a bit pricey. They charge $8 for two small eggrolls as an appetizer - the highest price I ever paid for eggrolls, lol. My major concern is that the dining in printed menus don't have price list. It makes you feel that they can charge voluntarily and make you uncomfortable. I'm inclined to raise 1 star for this review if they put the price list on the menu.

Most delicious pho broth, and the chicken vermicceli bowl is to DIE for. Such rich complex flavors in the meat and the veggies are always crisp and fresh. They make it in very small amounts so you never have to worry if you'll get an orange piece of lettuce, or half-limp piece of cucumber. Crispy rolls are handmade- no frozen pre-made items here. We have been eating here for 13 years (myself) and 20 years (husband), and even travel to eat their since moving and since they changed locations to Progress Ridge from Hillsboro. We joke that if they ever retire or close we will have to come to their home for pho! :D
