Drumlithie Inn

We just dropped in for a wee look, see, and were delighted to find a utopia of a country pub, spotlessly clean, warm, beautifully decorated, friendly staff and David the host was most welcoming. I'm looking forward to supper sometime soon, plus sitting outside in the summer in the garden, which must be a suntrap..

I’ve got a warm feeling about this place. I think in a year or two this will be a must dine out spot. There is car parking outside the pub, which I think ought to be better used e.g. for tables at the front for cyclists and other passers by to stop and enjoy. I understand there may not be much parking elsewhere in the village, but the pub should not be the community car park (my opinion). The real warmth of the place comes from mein hosts - they were warm and inviting, a cheery smile and efficient i their service. If I lived nearby, that alone would make me come back. A good selection of beers and drinks were available. The menu was limited at this stage to what the locals might eat, with a tiny bit of intrigue added in the desert menu. I think there a gap to be bridged between what the locals want, and what the business needs - bearing in mind this area has an excellent reputation for innovation and food. But the two lads who run the place gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing, and I really felt this lovely wee, well appointed village inn, could do very well indeed.
